Here is what seems to have mostly fixed it for me. Although the recent update seems to have fixed it most of the way anyway. Good luck guys. It took me 2 months with ubi support to get a solid reply.

I found shadowplay gave me the best result. I actually don't have any of the listed apps installed as of right now. But it seems promising considering shadowplay being turned off helped. You can disable shadowplay in your geforce experience app in the settings (assuming you have an nvidia gpu). They just emailed me again saying that Razer apps have caused issues with ubi games before. I can't test that, as I don't have Razer Synapse isntalled either. I just did a full windows reboot, so I really only have uplay installed. Good luck fixing it.

I do not have anything running apart from uplay either, but still it stutters. Out of all the apps in the list, I only use fraps and Aferburner. I tried not using either one of them, but still it stutters. Other than that, there is nothing else.

It is stuttering no matter what, I tried all methods listed on the wide internet and then some myself, no difference.

Agree with depzoo... Nothing totally solved it and I tried a lot !... The most your rig is powerful, the less the stutters are disturbing... Nevertheless they are still annoying... !

Hello all, it's good to see that people still report this bug.
It has been reported since short after the release of FC5 and it was never fixed.

In the FCND section is a thread "Known Issues...", where you can read this:

[PC] Game stutters when autosaving
Description: In some cases, the game's framerate can drop when saving data, particularly during autosave
Status: Will not fix
Workaround: This stutter can be related to the low speed of the hard drive/SSD or the CPU load. Players experiencing this issue should reduce the visual settings of the game.

The workaround and everything else that ubisoft suggests to do don't helps at all.
It is simply a bug in the games, that never will be fixed, i fear.
Neither for FC5 nor for FCND.

It really is a shame, because that are 2 very good games.
