Well I'm sure you wouldn't because that is the whole idea.Originally Posted by UbiInsulin Go to original post

- People who afford and want to pay for it can buy it and annoy other players.
- People who can afford but don't want to waste money to it don't buy it. People who have the Echelon annoy those people and eventually they pay 30$ to buy it.
- People who can't afford to pay, either uses almost half the credits they can get from PvE or starts grinding credits at PvP bit by bit. Well it is bit by bit because 180-200 credits each day from dailies all the way up to 8000 credits. It's rougly 1 and half a month of grinding.
All in all, ubisoft wins one way or another. I kindly ask other not to defend the additional content they will get with Yaer 2 Pass. 4 spec ops crates filled with Emotes and Voice Lines which is pretty useless. They might add a slightly bit of nice look but I'm pretty sure no one is dying to have them.
It's been over half a year since Echelon's release and still there is no balance came to it. It would be a fitting class for Ghost Recon Future Soldier but absolutely not for Wildlands. Also I'm really curious, why not those sonar goggles work as intended in PvE?
Oh right. What is coming from that 30$ dlc is a knife with a buggy animation. They fixed the sound bug but clipping bug still exist. Your arm goes into the enemie's chest... and it's really laughable honestly that dlc released with a pretty obvious bug. I would understand if it would happen under spesific rare conditions but at all conditions there were no takedown sound. Don't you guys have anyone to test at least the basics before releasing something?
Anyways. There is really no doubt Echelon class made this game's PvP is pay to win.
You know, I admire the Ubisoft Montreal. There is PvP in Far Cry 5 too but there is absolutely not even a single thing meant to be pay to win, there is not even a single thing meant to pay to get. Every weapon and costume in the game can be obtained by just playing campign. There are still silver bars for people who wants to buy weapons with the real money even at the very first of the game but nothing is "locked" behind a paywall. FC3, AC characters you can only get by having those games but a bit of them are totally fine by me. What about the Wildlands though? Lots of icons and all of them locked behind the paywall and many of them even also locked behind luck gamble called Spec Ops Crates.
I meant no disrespect of course. I'm not expecting Ubisoft Paris' to change for the better and have some care to their customers, but I wanted to talk some of my thoughts. I hope though at least some of the things I merely said can be considered as a discussion in future, because it's really upsetting seeing a game I love so much going down like this..
Well honestly I wish the same. Don't get me wrong, I have the Echelon too but I rather not to use it since it makes me getting bored of the game because I'm playing it really good and having a feel like destroying others fun.Originally Posted by HumanKevinJones Go to original post
As for me, yes I have this game for so long and was enjoying it until Echelon. I took a break and returned a couple of weeks before but I see the Echelon is still same. I looked the posts to see if anyone find an actual weakness of it even though I was doubting but still couldn't find anything can be taken into account. Then I simply wanted to express my thoughts about the class. The topics might be dead for so long but I don't want to create new ones, also other people can see there is still nothing changed and there are many others who feel uncomfortable with the exist of Echelon.
My account haven't suspended neither banned since I don't use cheats online or insult anyone. The reason why I made a new one is because there are many toxic players who aim to annoy people humbly mentioning their thoughts and accuse them as "whinning, crying". Only because of I asked someone in game please don't camp with Echelon made him to keep coming after me and the only me. So I want to stay hidden from this toxicity as much as I can.
Anyways, I'm not expecting them to do something really, but really wished to express my feelings. Who knows, maybe resurrecting topics made them realize this pay to win class still annoying too many people and making them still typing in topics dead long ago...
Artillery might get powerful some times but as long as you run, it's difficult to hit with mortars.Originally Posted by fastastoast Go to original post
Toxic is only good at flushing the campers inside a building. Otherwise Toxic doesn't have anything else.
Also you don't really need Echelon against them, in fact Echelon becomes useless if you play against them since those 2 mostly stay back and use their drones and Echelon finds somewhere to camp and wait until enemies come. Artillery and Toxic don't really move much so you really don't neee Echelon for them at all. Tech, Assassin and Pathfinder much more useful against them.
I'll give you a tip...Originally Posted by Faernas Go to original post
Echelon makes the game a lot easier when coupled with Toxic and an extra Assault class to run with him.
Echelon scans a building... Tells the Toxic there are 2 people inside. The Toxic drone doesn't even need to find them.
Toxic sends smoke into the building, the 2 have to run outside, then the two assaults finish them off.
The drone didn't even have to look inside the building.
Rinse and repeat with the rest of the team. No need to run inside mine infested buildings.
And we've done this against multiple pre-made groups. Not once or twice.
In my opinion Echelon is powerful.
The 'ping' that it gives should only work for moving targets just like the scout drone.
As a counter, Assassin should be exempt from this.
Pathfinder has too much going for him. Doesn't step on mines, hard to mark etc etc.
Yeah it might be better if there was a pinned thread about Echelon that everyone can express their thoughts in it.Originally Posted by fastastoast Go to original post
Sorry for the confusion. What I meant back there is Echelon against Artillery and Toxic. So because of Artillery and Toxic stays back and rely on their drones and the Echelon mostly camps at the other side, he mostly don't do much to those classes.Originally Posted by mezzatron Go to original post
That makes sense. But not all teams play that way, leaving their support classes behind.Originally Posted by Faernas Go to original post
Furthermore for Defending hostages the toxic and artillery are forced to stay in confined spaces. So they are pretty easy to find with the Echelon.
I've made this thread a sticky so you can all refer to this one thread to discuss EchelonOriginally Posted by fastastoast Go to original post![]()
