I've not checked yet bud, but if the default setting is darker thats an improvement imo. I have been struggling to get the universal light right because either the colours are too fantastical or the light is too much.
Have you got a way of tuning the light to optimal realistic daylight?
I guess for you it might be lighter just raising the sun angle but then it affects all the RGB and shadows :/
IMHO that's always one of the hardest things to get just right. I spend a lot of time just tinkering around with the time of day, sun angle, etc in order to get it just the way I want.Originally Posted by rioseven Go to original post
My starting baseline for environment lighting has been to carefully go through the times of days for the specific color theme I'm going for.
For something like a nice subtle peach/yellow sunrise I typically go for 6-7am. Then I tweak the latitude and readjust the ToD accordingly.
Fog is actually also really useful when it comes to getting the morning dew/afternoon mist atmospheric for the sun to shine through, which looks really nice coming around the edges of props or trees depending on how your scene is set up.
Choosing a corresponding sky and color correction filter will help you complete the look.
This update really borked up the lighting on my map (On Xbox), and everything looks very faded, not sure what's happening here. Also, my lighting budget was around 80% yesterday before the update and now it's well over 100%. I've tried deleting multiple lights and still, 100%. What's going on here?
