In the world of ancient warriors, there have been many that deserve the respect they're all due. The ancient Samurai, the Knights, the Romans legions. But there are none in that world of esteemed battle hardened men and women who deserve a moment of hushed honor more than the Shaolin Monk, who's order remains to this day the world's most elite fighting force. Trained from a very young age, these ancient and modern warriors are a force unto themselves, with astounding feats of physical prowess the world has never seen before. They deserve their spot in For Honor. To leave them out of a game such as this is tantamount to insult, for they are, even to this very day, the world's most elite fighting force. I ask you UBISOFT to create the Shaolin Monk character. His weapon of choice, in alignment with his Buddhist philosophy, should be a staff, with multiple knockdown capabilities.
Thank you.
I'm sorry, but for having studied Chinese arms armor and warriors for a year now, I can say that shaolin monk sucks. Real ghost faced monk were much better warrior, because they were the actual medieval warriors, not the modern day illusions that are the shaolin. They were never real warrior. Also, I would much prefer the actual sōhei Japanese warrior monk in the game that a shaolin. They are more badass and related to the game settings
Ahahahah very funny joke, except their is literally zero things in common with a shaolin and Aramusha. I don't even see were is the resemblanceOriginally Posted by Jarl.Felix Go to original post
Wow, this is trippy. Adding a Shaolin Monk to the Samurai was actually something I was pretty concerned Ubisoft might do. Especially after they added the Gladiator and Centurion classes to the Knights and the Highlander class to the Vikings. I'd much rather have a separate Chinese themed faction for a class like the Shaolin Monk.
Well first off the Gladiator, Centurion, and the Highlander are all lorely connected to their faction in one way. Via treaties (Highlander and Shaman) or because they made the faction (Centurion) or that the faction was very low on hero population (Gladiator).Originally Posted by MechaG2 Go to original post
In the lore for the Chinese faction they were either killed off or they became enemies to the Samurai. I think it said something like the Chinese-like faction fought against the Samurai when the Samurai went east, out into the sea. So I don't think the Chinese-like faction would join the Samurai...
At least.... I hope so...
To be honest having a hero with only a staff as his weapon and some martial arts moves might not help the character as his staff will give low damage and his martial arts abilities will only drain the stamina
Having a Chinese-like faction separate from the samurai is actually a good idea, it can add different ideas for weapons, armors, fighting style, etc...
we can also have 2 mongol characters to join this faction later
