    D3 question

I managed to compete 3 D3 sets this GE so far. Just wondering what is the best shield to use for legendary.

Assault shield or the healing one

Sheild health mods or sheild damage resistance mods

Should you use any firearms/stamina skill power/skill haste mods or all health ones

Finished my tac sets for my other 3 characters was missing chest pieces for all of them so I am done with the GE'S for awhile

Thanks for any help and if someone can post what they use as a set up for fire crest that would be good as well.

I'm not sure what is best for a group, because I run solo all the time..A lot depends on what you are going for..
Since I run them alone,I go for a much more tanky build..

Myself,I use the reactive targeting shield..It has the extended shield where your arm sticks out and covers the arm, plus it pulses the mobs shooting at it..It gives me a good idea of where they are at the time..

Shield performance mods,I go with all damage resilience..
If you get the max shield health through your set bonus and skill power, your shield will be at 2,350 million health..so you really won't need shield health mods..
you want it harder for them to knock that health down..
Plus when you heal yourself, you also heal your shield..

As far as skill power..If you are looking to get max shield health, you want 121k in skill power..But first you need to have 9k in stamina to get the 6 piece set bonus that gives 200% health increase to the ballistic shield..
As long as you are at 9k stamina, you can use firearms or electric or stamina, skill power mods..

Once I get to 9k stamina, I start dumping the rest into firearms or whatever I need to get my weapon talents..
Once I reach 121k skill power, I put the rest into haste to get my skills back up faster, unless I'm good good enough on haste..Then Damage to elite mods if I can..A lot depends on my gear rolls and attributes on those.

That's pretty much what I've been doing with mine anyways.. I'm sure there are much better builds, but just posting what's worked for me so far..
    Hope it helps you some..

That sounds nice,I'm gonna give that one a look as well.. My DPS isn't the greatest, that's for sure..I'm all for quicker runs..
    Thanks for the link.

ETA: I was looking at my build and we're pretty close to the same..I just wish I had those Firearms 4% DTE mods you have..
I've got the stam and electronics ones..Just waiting it out for the last ones to show up at the vendors..I'm stuck with the 3% ones for the time being..
plus still need to get my stuff optimized..

That and I use a sniper for my secondary weapon..Those House are Hard to come by for me..But have a nice one with deadly and destructive and 22% CHC..
    I need a better sniper though,that's for sure..That or a second house..lol

Again, thanks for the link..that site is a pretty cool place. I'm gonna have to see about getting an account there..

Oh one more thing..Where are you getting the 20.5% crit damage mods? Do they get optimized as you optimize your weapon or something?

Nope, that is what i am aiming for, mine are close but not that high, the website automatically chooses the highest stats an item can be.

EDIT: I just use Ballistic Shield

It must be precision talent having me think that's why they were lighting up..I forgot I had that one checked..I'm gonna need to change that to something else then..I thought I had changed it to on the move..lol
    My bad..

The extra little bit of shield on that shield supposedly does give your arm cover though..Not sure why they wouldn't just put it on all the shields..

I will see about putting on more skill power as bother my knee pads and backpack are health...I don't have a 2 houses to go with it only one.

I am well above 600k toughness don't know if I want to drop below 600k toughness or not I will see how it works.

I have 2 PSN accounts and test stuff out on my 2nd account before I use it on my main account .

What are the shield damage mods for then? Just for meLee or do they increase your weapon damage as well?

    And is anyone usin firecrest?

Ballistic Shield Damage mods will increase your damage

Ballistic Shield Damage Resilience mods increases damage resilience for your character (as well as the shield) when the shield is deployed (most common ones used)

As long as you have 121k skill power and 9k stamina (9k build)the rest can go into firearms.
