That may be the case as previously noted, I normally have my primary in hand during deployment and when they explode.Originally Posted by dominator0827 Go to original post
is it true if my resting SP is 402k, talented would be obsolete combined with tact stack due to soft cap of 450k?Originally Posted by Sharpandpointy Go to original post
Warrengate is my fastest legendary solo run. The valve room was tricky at first but if you run sticky bombs and seekers you can ambush the doors before you turn the valves. Put your sticky on the floor before turning valve dont detonate also don’t let your radius circle touch the door cause they come out quickly the second you turn the valve.... kinda lead them. Do one valve at a time. You can get the drop on them each door. They come out BOOM!!! Then send seekers their way. They have a hard time recovering. By then you have another sticky ready to clean them up.Originally Posted by StoicNihilist Go to original post
I used to think this. Then I sat down and did some more serious consideration.Originally Posted by Eeskie2982 Go to original post
My Skill Power base (5 piece, so no Barret's to worry about) runs around 411K. I can hit the cap easily with about 15 shots. I can also hit the cap by simply proccing Talented. So what does this mean?
It means I'm pretty constantly operating at Cap or over. EVEN for the use of my second skill.
I shoot up someone with 15-20 bullets. I hit cap (over it, but who's counting?). I use seekers. I kill someone with the AR, using 5 rounds. Talented proccs,I hit cap. I fire a sticky. Wait, my seekers are back. Talented does not disappear upon a skill use (it has a timer). I use those seekers again without exposing myself. They also go out at cap.
I shoot up someone, getting 30 stacks AND Talented. I fire my sticky bomb. That uses up my stacks. I am still Talented, though, and release seekers. At 450K+ skill power, due to Talented. I open fire. Talented runs out. I don't kill anyone, but I have 15 stacks again when my sticky comes back. Boom, at 450+ skill power again.
Basically, as long as I'm shooting and killing people with shooting, I'm constantly operating at Cap or higher due to the combination of stacks and Talented (this is an oversimplification, but makes the point - clearly I'm not always shooting and killing on Legendary, sometimes I'm hiding behind cover with bullets whizzing all around me).
Also, as long as Talented has been procced, my cooldowns are now based on THAT level of Skillpower, not my base of 411K.
So basically, I still get a lot of use out of Talented. It's not perfect, but it's solid, and still a useful skill to have on my 256+ AR.
That's how I used to run my firecrest/tact build..I loved that build..Relentless backpack was like having a healer along for the ride when I would solo..Originally Posted by Sharpandpointy Go to original post
I used to have a good balance of skill haste and skill power..With classified,it's just a matter of getting the right pieces and mine will be done..
I'm just a chest piece and mask away from it now..
Love skill builds..
I have full Tact Authority, with a lot of Skill Power and Skill Haste mods. Turret Damage and HP is what my gear build towards, and I find that being able to use my Skills faster is better than the amount of damage that they do. I tried running Seeker and Turret, and that went great. My turret us always ready to be used again even before the lifetime is at 25%, so when it dies I can use it again. The Seeker mine cools down faster too, so I can also use it again around the same time I put up a second turret.
I wouldn't use the word "obsolete", but your weapon talent slot could be put to better use. Look at your firearm as a way to increase damage via your skills. Not many weapon talents proc on skill use, like previously mentioned, predatory, destructive and ferocious are the three main talents. Talented would be more useful if it would proc via skill use, but it requires you to get a kill via your weapon. If you need to boost your base skill power due to allocation of its resources elsewhere, by all means, throw Talented in the mix, but keep in mind that with such low firearms numbers, keeping Talented proc'd is going to be challenging.Originally Posted by Eeskie2982 Go to original post
