Umm, what can I say about this game to really emphasize my feelings about it? Oh, I know! Max Payne 1 and 2 was WAY better!

I do like the slomo bulletcam effects, but they were better in Max Payne since you could keep firing your weapon during the cutscene. In this game, you only get to shoot once and watch repetative cutscenes. I think there's like 3 or 4 different variations depending on where you shoot the bad guys at.

The music wasn't bad and was probably the best feature of the game. The voice acting was excellent and seemed movie like.

    WHAT I REALLY HATED...

Hordes upon hordes of enemies that just run at you firing away like crazed lunatics. In Max Payne, you could sneak up on enemies that were watching TV or talking to one another. There's none of that in this game. Just hordes of mindless drones that come at you non-stop. I know the game is about action, but they really should have added some variety to the game. I really miss the sneaking up and listening to the bad guys talking to one another just before gunning them down.

CRASHES GALORE... This game must have crashed about 15 times from start to finish.

GAME IS WAAAAAYYYYY TOOO SHORT! I beat this in 4 hours non-stop. For the size of this game on the hard drive (50GB) it's definitely not worth it!!!

No replayability at all! Once you beat it - It's done and there's nothing left to do.

Stupid puzzle are present in the game. I don't recall Max Payne game requiring the player to shoot down polls just to be able to cross over an obstacle. If there was any, it was very seldom. This game requires a lot of this ****. The whole game world is filled with triggered puzzles that require you to shoot something to be able to advance. Kinda ******ed really!

Anyways, I guess you can see I'm a bit disappointed overall. The game WAS fun, but it comes nowhere close to being the kinda of quality game that Max Payne 1 and 2 were. Kinda sad really when games of today can't impress me as much as the old ones from yesterday!

Also, there seems to be a fad with cartoonish graphics nowadays. It seemed like the models in Max Payne were WAY more realisitic looking and richer looking than they are in this game. However, the models in this game ARE very detailed, but there's something fake or cartoonish looking about it all.

Max payne is such a better game. The story and the mood of the two games are terrific. Max payne 2 is one of my favorite games. I love the comments that Max makes during the game. Like comparing the dome above the final boss to the sword of Damocles.

I really liked the nightmare sequences in the games. I've never seen a game transistion between the normal world and a dream sequence so well! The game made me feel like I was on drugs or something! I WANT MAX PAYNE 3!!!
