The noisemaker drone makes the same stupid sound it needs to be more relevant to the actual gunfire in the game and make a different sound everytime you set it off as it stands its very easily ignored with a 1 in 10 chance of success ....thats for every 100 times you use the noise maker drone only ten people will fall for it. thats ridiculous
it needs to be changed NOTHING ELSE ABOUT THE CLASS NO ****ING AROUND WITH IT FOR NO REASON JUST THAT ANNOYING SOUND THAT EVERYBODY CAN TELL FROM ANYWHERE ON THE MAP ITS PURE BULL ****
What's bull is majority of your post. First of all the sound does change from a random list of like 3 different sounds, they are subtle but different. Second yours probably fails 9 out of 10 times because you probably spam it instead of single use, you probably do it in mid air instead of on the ground, you very likely do it too close to someone where they can hear your drone flying. It can't be heard past 200m so you can actually not distinguish it if your far enough away which works extremely well at distracting sniper.
The drone is fine, it's how your using it that's crap.
Diversionist is fine. Dont make it op or something else will have to change to balance it.Originally Posted by CyraxSniper133 Go to original post
I agree with you . Soon as ghost war launched it probably took me an hour to figure out the difference from the nosiemaker and actually gun nosies .Originally Posted by CyraxSniper133 Go to original post
Me personally it has no effect on apart from being really annoying when someone keeps spamming . It doesn’t matter how well you use it you ent fooling no body with it .
It would be good to rework it slightly but I think it would be alittle op as someone below said so it’s hard to say what could be done with it .
Glad I could be of some help instead of just calling you trash , pretty much the only response you get on here
There's been a bunch of threads about this since the Diversionist was released, so we've let the team know that not many players are consistently fooled by Diversionist noises a while back. I don't know of any impending changes to the class. This may be because Diversionists perform well as Scouts due to the drone's stealth.Originally Posted by CyraxSniper133 Go to original post
I think the drone should be able to mark enemies. High tier play in comms (where the diversionist excels) wouldnt use the mark function and the class would remain unchanged. In lower levels of play, where the class fails, the marking would help. Even if it was a special type of mark that lets you know youre marked by the diversionist drone. The noisemaker feature is easily recognizable. Dont know what to do with it, though. However, this might make it a little too strong. This may just have to be a class that only excels in well organized parties.
I agree with the poster.
Re-read the description for the Diverstionist, it intends the operator to deceive and divert the enemy. It doesn't say, be the same as the Scout but with an invisible drone.
They are used to great effect as stealth scouts, I'm fine with that but they do NOT perform as described.
The sounds needs changing to real FX used in-game.
Gunfire, footsteps, knocked over stuff, I've posted elsewhere on this operator but it should really have an element that causes a diversion.
Hell, it would be quite wicked to have a feature that falsely sets off the Recon Tower/Uplinks... muahahaha!
Omg it uses the exact same sound as the rangers mk14 burst fire...it is an exact sound from the game...and I've diverted plenty of times it just requires a lot of thought as to how you use it and some serious situational awareness.Originally Posted by WARB0RG Go to original post
There is nothing you can change or add to the drone that Is going to improve it because at the end of the day your trying to confuse a gamer's intelligence, and it comes all down to how, when, where you use the noisemaker, not something that can be automatically coded and made simple.
No one's saying the sound isn't real, it is its lack of variety that's the problem. It should have the sound effects from all team members' weapons, varying from team to team. Including the mortar sound effect. There, something to add or change to improve the op.Originally Posted by Tellahane Go to original post
