Hello everybody,
Far Cry 5 will be undergoing maintenance on all platforms on Tuesday, May 1st, starting at 09:00 EDT/13:00 UTC.
The estimated downtime for this maintenance is 2 hours.
Some online services may be unavailable during this time.
We will be deploying Title Update 5. Patch notes will be shared closer to the day of the maintenance.
Thank you for your understanding,
The Far Cry Community Team
Why would you hide this patch announcement? People are leaving the game due to the lack of things to do, but mainly due to your lack of communication and acknowledgement of issues

I have continued trying to get information from Ubisoft concerning the lack of save game slots and need for New Game Plus feature needed for replay ability of this game. The lack of communication concerning these issues is very disheartening to your loyal farcry fan base. Like most products, satisfied customers help sell the product, dissatisfied customers are detrimental to product sales. Bungie has tons of issues trying to fix Destiny 2 but are communicating their intentions to the fan base they have left. EA did nothing to fix issues with their Star Wars Battlefront 2 game until the outcries became astronomical. Please value our concerns and constructive complaints and suggestions by communicating with us. I don't believe I speak for myself, a casual glance through this forum and far cry 5 on reddit will verify this.
I echo 420JJ comment. "Thank you for understanding" seems like an empty comment in that there has been no communication from Ubisoft concerning the numerous concerns for a New Game Plus feature and need for additional save game slots. It is the most requested feature in this game and should have been implemented from its release date. Many gamers expect quality end-game activities and replay-ability. If "Title Update 5" does not implement the aforementioned features, I very well may no longer be playing this game and will not purchase any future Far Cry titles unless the company states upfront that New Game Plus will be included.
Keep in mind that Support/Community Managers aren't necessarily part of the development team. The development team itself decides which things to tackle, and has to balance their resources. They are the only ones who define what's feasible in which title update, which in turn may or may not be communicated to the Community Managers before their work is done.
This explains why most of the communication from Ubisoft seems to be "thank you for your feedback, I've reported it". HOWEVER, the title update news is not hidden. It was announced several days ago.
As people seem to be having a hard time finding the information they need, here's a summary:
- The next title update will for sure address:
- The name-tags of your teammates and enemies in PvP will still be shown after they respawn.
- Arcade level won't reset anymore.
- Improvements to the Private Lobby system: All maps will be picked by the host.
- Map pickers now have 50 seconds to go through the different filters and pick the maps they want to play
The update will be deployed as part of the scheduled maintenance on May 1st, starting at 09:00 EDT/13:00 UTC. It will cause about 2 hours of downtime.- For a general list of known issues, see: Map Editor Issues, and Game Issues.

My issue has been the permanent night bug but if all these other players with other issues are anywhere near as disgusted as I am, this update better be fixing quite a few major game issues. Ubisoft has upped their game recently and to burn that good will with such a long delay for must have fixes has been a monumental misstep.
Why you guys aren't shouting from the rooftops that you have an update coming is beyond me.
I have to agree that after a recent improvement in Ubi's affairs, this has been a collosal misstep. To have so many players unable to play. As a result I have missed the community missions as I didn't want to spoil my game. Support have still failed to answer my post:

Do I have to raise a support ticket for a reply to this?
