I would hate to only be able to be in a ship.
I think a perfect way would be to make towns where people can "park" their ship and walk around in.
Imagine walking into the town and looking back at your ship floating there that you designed.
I'd love to be able to go to the "armory" to buy new cannons and get upgrades for my ship.
I'd love to be able to go to the "bar" and hire people to join my crew.
I'd love to be able to go talk and possibly trade with other players in the town.
I'd love to be able to go to the ""shop"" to restock food/wine for my crew.
I think this is what would make a great pirate game. (my opinion)
There is no need for player vs player combat since people will use the ships for that which is the main part of the game but i think it would be a HUGE plus if we were able to do these things.
Sorry if i don't use the correct words for things English is not my 1st language.
I agree, a lot of people were hoping for an AC4 multiplayer. But Skull and Bones is NOT AC4. But just walking in town to meet other captains, upgrade youre ship and see how mighty you're, without combat is possible i think. Maybe it's coming to the game, because i saw somewhere you're safe in a hideout where you can upgrade youre ship. (if i'm right)
Perhaps is that it what you want in the game.
But we will see if there's more information released.(E3)

but everyone was hoping for a nice open world multiplayer pirate game...where you actually play a character and not just a shipOriginally Posted by Ruthless4u Go to original post
Since I've watched the trailer it appeared clearly to me this would be a naval battles game in the pirate era.Originally Posted by DeeK_KayE Go to original post
I'm not an AC sery fan either and I'd prefer not to have to suffer a poor melee fighting mechanic like in AC just to satisfy a few AC avatar fanatics, instead of good naval mechanics.
I’m sure if Ubisoft’s market research indicated that, they would of made the game different.Originally Posted by DeeK_KayE Go to original post
And a handful of YouTube users is not market research.
pretty sure that its still the majority who wants to have that rather than just a naval combat gameOriginally Posted by Ruthless4u Go to original post
how about good melee mechanics AND good naval mechanicsOriginally Posted by Grivois_Gaulois Go to original post
If Ubisoft's market research team didn't figure out that in 2018 people want open world games where they have no limits and can do whatever they want and make the story their own, then that would explain why they constantly miss the mark somehow on almost every game they release.Originally Posted by Ruthless4u Go to original post
