    Help With PVP

OK, I have been playing this game for some time now but I have yet to figure out the "PVP" thing. Basically, the situation is this. I go in to collect caches and help out others if their getting pounded on by either the AI or those A. H’s that travel around in a team of 4 or 5 to pounce players that are alone. That I have never figured out nor do I want to figure out. I just want to best survive an ambush from one player or two. If it's more than that I'm dead no matter what I do. So, here's my loadout.

    1. Gear: 6-piece Striker
    2. Weapons: LVOA-C, Lightweight M4, Famas. Sometimes I'll pull out The House but that’s rare
    3. Signature Skill: Recover Link.
    4. Skills: Pulse & Booster Shot.
    5. Talent: Whatever I can get to run to complement those skills
    5. Mods: Firearms or Stamina.

    Any suggestion or comments?

    Thank You.

I don't bother with the DZ or any form of PvP in this game, but I can tell you that Crit Chance and Crit Damage trumps Damage to Elites and Enemy Armor Damage every day of the week when it comes to PvP. Make sure you spec as much as possible into the first two, and nothing (or next to nothing) into the last two.

You're never going to win as a solo player or duo against a 4 mad squad of gankers. Their objective is to ambush you when you're busy. They will run away when they are outmatched and return when you're busy and they have an advantage. That is the DZ as intended.

Best thing you can do is get a Nomad set and learn how to run and avoid them. I only go to the DZ out of necessity. It is my least favorite part of the game and I play all of it regularly except Last Stand.

For true PVP, I recommend Skirmish - loads of fun and a fair fight.

what are your gun talents? what are your gear talents? If you are running damage to elites or enemy armor damage on your striker you are fine for pve, but are not going to hit that hard against rogues. Are you running a 9k stam striker or a 6k stam striker. Personally, I like the 6k with with 7k firearms. I might die a tiny bit faster, but i stand a better chance of actually dealing some damage on my way out! Ditch the booster shot and run immunizer box. blowing up the box grants more heal than the booster, and you can run around in it to protect from turrets until you pop it.

Not true... though on a percentage basis the odds are stacked against you. I fair best versus larger groups with my 9k Predator and spreading them out. 1 vs the pack is really tough, but if you can drop one fast, run, drop another... and pick them off that way, at least I find I have a chance.

Pretty sure he didn't mean LITERALLY never...just never as in "don't count on it".

Yep, I hear you all very loud and clear. I always have the shock nades (I wish there was more than two) key bound for quick release. My issue is I approach the game as I approached combat in real life. Engage at distance at the same time closing that distance. As heraklid1 stated, "Run into the opponent so that he/she cannot fire on you". I never would have thought of that because that's insanity. You would be cut down before you reach 10 feet from the guy. Know I'm starting to understand the use of "The House" and the "Navy MP5" because it's perfect for that situation. I enjoy going in to the DZ as I stated above. I love to intervene when some guy/gal is being jumped by 4-5 other players. That's MY ambush time because they never think that someone is going to rush them. Usually everyone runs away and they count on that. I always run towards fire when I hear it. I stopped doing that for a while because after going in to help that one or two players, they would turn on me. That's uncontainable. I thank you all for your input and will keep it in mind.
