Any update to the map selection not working a decent amount of the time? Maybe it's an isolated issue, but situations like this don't seem all that uncommon for me:

So I downloaded the new update , and I do not know exactly what changes you guys made on the weapons, but it seems SMG's and shotguns still seem overpowered , and the weapon of choice for people .
This next thing I want to tell you guys .
This made up mind for myself ....
So I wait on this slow count down, only to have A map I picked to be changed to A featured map . That's it! I'm Done! I do not trust you guys at Ubisoft. I am so glad I waited on your season pass . You won't get another dime out of me!
You took our feedback, wiped your A $ $ with it.
The community has been talking about dedicated servers ever since the making of Far Cry 3 , and most like myself have stuck with you . Every year asking about dedicated servers . Also people have asked for Capture The Flag ever since Far Cry 3 , and you still have not delivered.
You can say you are listening to our feedback all you want .
I DO NOT TRUST YOU AT ALL UBISOFT .
You have taken A fun realistic Multiplayer ( Far Cry 2 ) , and turned it into A circus , AND! you guys are the clown....
You guys make A Remastered Far Cry 2 Multiplayer you can have some more of my money .
Other than that ..... You can save your Lies for other people

thanks for your feedback. I can understand your frustration, however I do not agree with you.
As I said, I focused on the improvements we worked on for the title Update 5, and didn't get into more details for future title updates because nothing is set in stone yet.
the improvements and additions you are talking about require much more development work than what we have done so far. Developping a new mode is not the same as increasing a timer.
the whole process to implement a title update is actually quite long. the content/fixes implemented with a title update are "frozen" around 2 weeks before the title update is available for players. Meaning that for this last Title update today, the dev team had to submit their final changes 2 weeks ago, aka 2 weeks after launch.
Everything devs have been working on the past 2 weeks, all the feedback that have been shared this past 2 weeks, can only be addressed/implemented, in a future title update.
I hope you can easily agree on the fact that developping a new game mode or implementing a lobby browser is requires ssome time to be developed properly. Also note that hearing community feedback never meant, and never will, addressing them all. there are constrains on the production side that players are not aware of, and also feedback that the development team do not agree with.
Other point I'd like to mention, is that there is a difference between what you personally wish for the game, and what "the community" has been asking for. There is almost as many opinions as there are players, so our role is to focus on the most common feedback, that are also doable on a production stand point. The dedicated servers is a good example. It hasn't been a huge topic so far, lobby system definitely triggered much more conversations. Plus, it is not a decision taken lighlty, it has long term impact, and so far it is not the direction the production team is taking.

that is a good idea. I think that adding a pop-up in-game might be a bit complicated, but I'll forward your insight!
The Community have been asking for A lobby system Like Far Cry 2 for many years now . The Community has wanted dedicated servers.Originally Posted by Ubi-JollyCharly Go to original post
Now you tell me Sir....
Is that wishing?
Because I surely know I am not the only one.
Of course it is not easy to just implement A new lobby system just like that , and I respect what you are saying.
BUT! Ubisoft has had years implement it .
The Devs. For whatever their reasons have chosen to look the other way .
You know it , and I know it .... No wishing involved on this subject .
Thank you for your response . Something from Ubisoft is better than nothing.
I would like to address some things in the newest update I have found. First of all the multiplayer is much better with the names being fixed now. however you can only choose from UBI recommended maps currently. For some reason the lights and effects budget has changed and maps will not validate that previously could. Lakes are causing latency issues in published maps (found this out by changing lakes to the sea to fix it). The bunker door (one with the turning wheel) has vanished from maps and the editor. These are just some of the issues I have found this far, I hope this will help for the future update.
To further the feedback and confirm that YES we want Dedicated servers. Those of us who only play Far cry for the editor have been been asking for years. We have course have asked for Far cry 2's lobby system back. This is not new feedback and it has been stated plentiful over the years.
I think Arcade mode could easily be a stand alone game if Ubisoft invested in the editor and quality of PVP.
We need objective based modes A-S-A-P.
Please slow down the player movement. It's way too erratic for PVP.
Vehicle respawn
Please and Thank you
on my map Battleship DWXX my gameplay relied on each team using mortars in order to eliminate the enemy team. Since the may update neither team can use the mortars properly. sometimes it doesn't let certain people on the mortar, sometimes everyone is unable to overhead zoom in on the enemy side. other times it will let you look into the view port but the mortar will not fire. I ask for atleast a response for I feel no one ever replies to me and it is getting frustrating to say the least. I have spent hours upon hours on this map only to get a downvoted because of something out of my control.
Since the update I've only been able to play arcade a couple of times. Now pretty much every time I try to play it takes ages to search for a match, sometimes 5+ minutes
of waiting. Once I do get into a match, I can usually select my weapons, run around for 15 seconds and then get booted from the server with a Bookworm-2CEA2BDC error!
I have not been able to even play a game for the last week or more and have pretty much just stopped trying cause it takes so long to find a server, and then when it does I get booted 100% of the time. I've heard this could be because of high ping, though I don't believe that at all, I've played since completing the campaign for 2-3 weeks without ever being booted, only ever on the odd occasion would things go wrong with a migration and I'd end up back at menu, now I can't even play at all. To be honest, if this is because of high ping, what kind of server tech are you using? This is not the days of 56k modems where we need to do this, I don't think I've ever been booted from any other game because of ping before especially since I'm on Fibre with quite good speeds. What is going on!?
