    Production Updates on Arcade

    Hello Map Creators!

    Our next Title Update is on its way, and we wanted to give you a little overview of the changes you can expect for Arcade by beginning of May!
    We have received your feedback, and we are happy to share some upcoming changes that will address your Arcade feedback.

    First of all, we fixed a couple of bugs that impacted the game experience:
    - The identification of your teammates and enemies in PvP is now fixed. When players respawned after dying, their name-tags were not above their character anymore, this is now fixed.
    - Your Arcade level doesn't reset anymore (note that when you restart a campaign game, your Arcade level will also be reset, but this is intended in this case).

    We’ve also made improvements to the Private Lobby system to help Map Creators promote their content and play their own maps with their friends:
    - The first player to enter a password is automatically selected as the host, instead of a random pick between the 2 players required to start a private lobby.
    - Only the host can pick the map to be played.
    - The host has 60 seconds to pick the map.

    Within the first weeks after launch, we also noticed many of you comment that suggested map parameters were not adapted to your needs as content creators. For last Title Update (TU4), we therefore changed the parameters of the Public Lobbies so that the first maps suggested are featured maps instead of "all maps". The other side of the coin is that many now have the feeling that they are always playing the same featured maps. To mitigate this:
    - The map pickers now have 50 seconds to go through the different filters and pick the maps they want to play

    We hope these modifications will enhance your Arcade experience
    This is just the beginning though as we have more plans for Arcade! Although we can’t share details just yet, our team is focused on making your Arcade experience much more fluid and ensuring that we can better highlight the amazing content from our Map Creators.

    Im very happy with this update! 60 Seconds it a much more comfortable time limit and glad we can finally have a host that controls the map selection in private lobbies. This makes it much easier for me especially if I wanted to record a few certain maps! Great work!

    Kudo's! This update seems to address the most pressing gameplay concerns nicely! People in a sense even get the "server host" feature back, in Private lobbies.

    I appreciate what you guys are trying to do . You guys are really making some small steps in the right direction, but I do question your response about receiving our feedback.
    Many Many people have stated things wrong with the Gunplay , and yet you mention nothing of it . Many Many people have requested Capture The Flag Mode yet you mention nothing of it . Many Many people asked for their Maps to be locked so other's can't steal them for their own , and yet you mention none of that. The only thing you guys did for the players is fix the names.

    Next issue is The Lobby System .

    That fix was really A waste of time , and will be forgotten . Without an open lobby dedicated it won't matter what changes you make to your private lobby system .

    Why the code? Makes no sense at all .

    Basicly the only people you cared about for feedback is The Map Makers , and not the people who play the Maps.

    Thanks for the 60 seconds so peoples maps can still be out voted , because we still do not have dedicated servers . Thank you Ubisoft .

    Is there anyway to somehow give a tutorial to players about how to filter maps? I think the extra map time is a great step forward, but I have a feeling a majority of the player base does not know how to filter maps properly, or even know there is a filter. Maybe just some sort of first time pop-up in the Arcade menu explaining how to access the filter and what it does? Or a pop-up kind of like what happens for campaign tutorials?

    The update is a step in the right direction and we appreciate the fact that work is being done but I am still confused as to why there needs to be a countdown in Private lobbies at all. When my community plays private games we like to banter and chat between matches, maybe even take a bathroom break or get a drink. If there is still a countdown that isn't possible.
