    Capitao bolt.

So, i think we can all agree that Cap's asphyxiation bolts are next to useless.
the area of effect is so small, and people can literally stand in it + the damage is pathetic.

why not just make it like smokes gas?

Here's a great video showing what he means. Cav's position is known, and she's in a very small cramped area. Yet she sits in the stuff, and then just scampers away seconds later.

I think the problem lies with it's consistency. It seems the bolt's hitbox changes with each shot (unlike any other gadget). And it changes drastically, where someone can literally sit in it and not be affected. I've had it happen alot (I play Capitao frequently).

The damage on the other hand is excellent. When the hitbox works correctly, a player usually dies within 2 seconds.

I think they should standardise the bolt's area of effect to work like a normal smoke grenade. You should know that if you shoot it at a spot, it will emanate exactly x meters from the center (x being whatever the developers decide).

Cap bolt very powerful on a coordinated team that has a glaz. Also cap is devestating vertically against anchors.

There is quite a bit of space for her to avoid being directly in that AoE in that clip, so I'm not sure this is the best example for this argument. I know what you mean though, I've seen the bolts struggle to maintain utility in certain situations/objectives.

That being said, I'll be adding a note to my report on this subject and share your feedback with the team!

True, to a degree. But my point is that the AoE basically has to be a direct hit to be useful. In that regard, I'm better off using my primary weapon. To actually kill with the gadget, I generally have to use both bolts on one enemy, spacing them out a few feet. I'm not sure what the right answer is to fix it. It is very powerful when it lands directly on an enemy, and if the AoE is increased with that same power, then it might become OP. Maybe a larger AoE, but a slightly lower damage model? I'm not sure. Thank you for sharing the feedback.

The thing is is that its in my opinion meant to clear corner campers and it does it well. Take tea room on skyscraper you can clear that little area behind the table with his bolts and the defenders can't really stop it or get out fast enough. Its also great for clearing out behind mobile covers and other places that would be hard to push. Honestly it kills too quickly in regards to there's no real counter to stop it besides putting a bullet in caps head.

I have another example of why this AoE needs to be bigger. Most levels have high ceilings so sometimes a defender is camping behind an obstacle and there is no way to hit a wall close to him. If ubisoft increased the vertical AoE it would be possible to clear obstacles without hitting the bolt against a wall or the ground but by hitting the ceiling just to get the fire behind or around an obstacle. Also I think the bolt AoE needs be bigger because it will deny the defender to move to that area or force him out of a certain area. It would be nice to see the bolt have the same radius as the smoke bolt for example, maybe a little bit smaller to have more potent effect for the fire bolt and give capitao a fighting chance!

Edit: Another improvement would be if the bolt would burn longer so he can deny roamers to flank him when he want to close of a lane.
