    If this means; saving at any given point, so that it can be re-loaded if you wish. Yes, if on the PC. Otherwise I don't believe consoles have such an option. You are saving external to the game.

    There is a manual save option in the pause menu; however, it is not available while in a mission, or near a mission area (such as an outpost).

    If you're within the boundary of the mission area (when the prompt appears in the mission tracker HUD element) you're too close, and will need to move away before you can enable manual saving again.

    On the PC copy the saved game folder somewhere and rename it so you know its details. Then you won't lose much if the game crashes, or you can replay from that point another time.
