From what I found, the goons aren't noticing the report, but rather the bullet going through the target and hitting a wall or something on the other side and/or someone seeing the body drop.
No, I never use Autodrive unless I let Helen Keller or Ray Charles or Stevie Wonder drive while I run the gun.

I just gave up playing for the night because I was trying to take the radar station in Jacob's territory and I was on the hill with the campsite. I fired once with my .308 and missed waited a full 60 seconds fired again and missed waited again for 60 seconds while they all ran around the radar site and even though I was camped in a bush all of a sudden one of the snipers started shooting me. The distance was a little over 200m and I didn't even get a warning that he was sighting me in (that white line). At first I thought it was coming from behind me but I turned and looked through my scope just as he fired the last shot that killed me.

Nights are too short in the game! It would be better to experience longer nights with some sort of night animals, "night enemies", night random situations or strangers. And ,of course, it would be good to have a flashlight or torch!

Some very well thought out issues and suggestions ReverendV92. I'd like to talk about three of them that would have a big positive impact if addressed:

    1. Mission replay. There are certain missions that I felt were a blast to play. So much so that I liked it when I could not complete them, because I would double back and try different strategies. And there are been a few where I would commit cyber-suicide near the end of it just so I could have a go at it again. Outpost master was a great feature when it was added to (I think FC 3?), but time has moved on and outpost master is like a sledge hammer whereas I'd have a lot more fun along the way. If there was an option to turn on an "Options to redo mission" prompt. That way people who don't want the immersion broken need not change, and people like you and I can chart our own play.

    2. World Map Icon Filter. I am so appreciative of the fact that the map is huge. Lots of diversity, lots to do. But at the same time because of that it's a tad bit time consuming to find things sometimes. I'd rather be playing!!! A filter would be a nice addition.

    3. Difficulty Provides No Benefit - When I started playing FC5 I went for the guns and bigger guns if I could. After awhile I realized they were taking some fun out of the game because the game was not hard enough at the highest difficulty settings.

So I restarted the gaming after achieving 40% and went bow and arrow and pistol.

Your suggestions about reduced health gen etc would really help a lot. Maybe ubi keep the 3 levels and add a 4th - Uber...

I remember in Far Cry Primal they added survivor mode (and permadeath) that really separated the men/women from the boys/girls... and was it fun!

    Point well made.

Simply asking - no upgrades, no additional perks beyond what can be obtained via the mentioned loadout? Except for FC and FC2 have always used a bow as one of my main weapons; then add in additional restrictions to further enjoy (and be further challenged) game play. So just wondering.

I don't understand your problems with difficulty. I catch 2-3 bullets and I'm dead. Sometimes enemies are real marksmen sometimes not. As for me, everything is OK!

Well, as a Post Doctorate of Level Design and PhD in Game Development, along with 30 years in the industry as a remote executive consultant, I concur.

But how about a return to a more linear design with some free roam areas?

Is this new new form of the "I work in IT so I know what I'm talking about guys" guy?

Your degree in game design is irrelevant, you are a user just like the rest of us. You want your ideas to have more of an impact because of your degree? Then go fill out an application at Ubisoft's website.

Well I personally welcome posts (critical or otherwise) from players that are qualified in the area of software development. Being a dummy in that field, I don't know if I am getting a snow job from these developers in answer to concerns or requests I may have. I fear there are lots of "used car salespeople" in this business.

Their status in this world is a bit elevated and IMO their opinions and ideas hold merit. You add nothing here.
