This week's live challenge highlights the biggest flaw in this game.

So the challenge for the week requires you to blow up cult vehicles. Simple enough, except those who have beaten the game are stuck in a dead open world with absolutely no enemies to complete it. When this flaw (that being no option to reset enemy presence along with the outposts) affects challenges, I think it's time for Ubisoft to at least acknowledge the issue. I know the solution that's being thrown around is resetting outposts and purposely getting spotted to get reinforcements to come in. Yeah it gets the job done, but it's pretty ridiculous that I have to use an exploit or completely restart the game to partake in the challenge.

I agree with you that this was just a bad idea.

My workaround was to reset the outposts, and then have them sound to alarm to call reinforcements who usually come in pickups.

While this works, I understand why it's far from a fun way to do it.

Yeah. I reset outpost and set off the alarm. I'd then shoot some people and wait for a couple of reinforcement to arrive. Then run away without liberating the outpost.

    Damn....

You don't need to reset outposts.

Just find an empty peggie pickup truck by the roadside, blow it up. Drive/run down the road and return - the vehicle will have respawned again.

This is one such location in Faith's region where a truck spawns outside a roadside bliss farm. Toss a bomb, detonate and drive a little down the road and return. I was done in 10 minutes. https://i.imgur.com/B8dGOif.png

The concept of "the resistance" reclaming territory to show a natural progression of the story is a flawed system, when it comes to a free roam game like Far Cry 5. A game that is designed around action & chaos. In theory it makes sense to conquer & hold territory to effect change & drive the story along. However it does not lend to continuous & engaging gameplay post-campaign completion. An ever present threat of the cult bent on reclaiming said territory (random attacks on repatriated out posts) would give the game a needed boost in replayability and alleviate the need for a global outpost reset once the campaign is complete.

If the developers were to add an element of RTS to the FPS genre, that would take it to the next level for those wanting to enjoy the game on a continuous basis.

While this is great feedback I'm not saying that the team is working on this however, I will definitely pass this message along for the team to look into. It's understandable that many players do not want to reset outpost to complete the challenge at hand. I'm curious to know other players thoughts on this subject for the live event and potential live events catering towards this concept.

The fact is that the game world is dead after you finish unless you want to restart it (which I really don't want to do) or reset outposts as suggested. .....which unfortunately, only resets the outposts.

It would be nice to have a feature that reset cultists activity throughout the game world (perhaps tied to Outpost Master) for those of us who just want to roam around engaging enemies. .....or to complete challenges like this. I have zero interest in reliving the forced capture sequences of the campaign or starting out from scratch with a new character.

Hell, I finished the game and haven't even unlocked all of the weapons yet. ....but since the game world is essentially dead, there is no incentive for me to continue.

Thanks for at least acknowledging the topic. The reason that me and many others are upset about this particular issue is that it was featured in past far cry games. Outpost reset also brought back enemy presence in fc3 and fc4. Why it wasn't in this game I don't know. Adding a simple slider in the options menu that allows players to turn on enemy hostility post liberation is all anyone is asking for. If you guys did that you would make a lot of people happy, and give the game a hell of a lot more replay ability.

With the future patch to come there will be many fixes to come with hopefully some new features that the players will enjoy.

Yea that makes sense. Personally me as a player would like to take advantage of all the options in front of me. Weapons, vehicles, outfits so I can see where that frustration is coming from.
