I love my shield build, but I would never run in the DZ solo (unless it is a 1v1 to test a build). However, PVE solo is fun. I also run my shield build all the time in Last Stand. I have a nice video on Youtube running my shield build in Last Stand (Version 1.7, before they changed how the shield works). I use all CHC mods, get stamina to 9k, and then pour the rest into firearms. Please note, that if you want to run it in Last Stand, you need 9,900 stamina to unlock the 6 piece bonus.Originally Posted by Eeskie2982 Go to original post
thanks for the awesome info...and when i said solo...I meant pve lolOriginally Posted by meathead_79 Go to original post
Solo PvE, you could go 9k stamina, but you certainly don't need to. 6/6/3 will still get you a very tanky shield and more than enough firepower to shred mobs with ease.
Do a search for a D3 build thread started by forum user JayKay (not his exact full name, I don't recall exactly what it is off the top of my head) a little while back. Lots of details and good advice in there.

My go to build for solo PVE.....ain't tried to solo legendary with it as i don't do them, too little reward for how long it takes......can solo Lexington (if all goes well) in about 7-8 mins with ease.....and that includes my little vaping breaks
Also very good in the UG....no more will hunters kill you![]()
It's a vital build for any PvE player who likes to do all of the legendaries and incursions. I have one set for two of my characters and I'm planning on getting a 3rd set for my 3rd character because I'm always finding myself in a situation where there's only one person in a Stolen Signal run who has it and you really need two.
