this game is a mediocre (at best) console port, what do you expect? every ubisoft game ever had beyond **** controls on pc because you know, pc gamers don't matter and only the console sheep actually do because they pay for **** (microtransaction in farcry? really?) because they are dumb as **** to begin with otherwise they wouldn't play console.
If you keep accidentally ejecting while flying you can rebind the exit key to something more exotic that won't be accidentally struck, like I dunno, ; (semicolon).Originally Posted by terry427 Go to original post
It's pales in comparison to helicopters which have pretty much perfect casual controls one could imagine, the primary issue with planes of Far Cry 5 is that the mouse has no control over the plane and instead is completely relegated to freelook, making the plane follow the aimpoint alike to helicopters would go a long way to improve their handling as it would allow much greater degree of precise adjustments to be made, see Elite: Dangerous mouse controls.Originally Posted by terry427 Go to original post
Got to give coyote above me credit just for mentioning the mouse controls in elite dangerous - thats how it is done!
Personally, i havent had much problem with the controls on keyboard / mouse. Got on just fine doing the Nixon Clutch stuff and the odd plane based mission.
Everyone else seems to have a problem with it, a mate of mine could not wrap his head around it at all.
Seen loads of people saying how bad it is though, so im definitely in the minority on this one. Should definitely be looked at if so many people are having problems.
That's the point, mouse in airplanes should do something more than just freelook.Originally Posted by terry427 Go to original post
Personally I wish the plane controls were a little more complicated, but I understand that a lot of people have trouble flying planes.
I'm not sure if this works but maybe the vehicle steering sensitivity in the options menu also affects planes?
I don't know if it actually does as I haven't touched it but turning it down might help.
