Did anyone at the beginning just wanted to join the Cult and fight as an enemy. i did lol...
I am not sure what everyone elses thought is on this but there is not enough games where you play as the bad guy or part of the cult. Im not sure if it is because of the real world outcomes where people could do bad things and blame it on a video game that prevents publishers making games like that. But i feel there is a story to be told on both being a Villan and being a Hero and in most cases games want you to feel your doing something good and positive.
But sometimes i just want to see what its like on the other side if i was a member of the cult and this almight force was killing members of my cult and family.
There is a golden rule - we are fighting against evil. Against bad people. We are on the good side. That's why we have moral right to kill in the game. We are not killers! We have to kill our enemies only because we must prevent bigger evil. How can we play as bad guys? How can we play as cultist, for example? How can we play as nazis? We will popularize only intolerance, sadism and atrocity.....
I like the idea,
Draws parallels with Half Life Opposing Force and Blue Shift for the game through different eyes.
I think a couple of the FEAR spin offs did similarly.
But...
I found those Bliss tripping sequences very annoying, not sure I could do a whole campaign as a Bliss Head!
@GameGuru2018 that is also an interesting point, but many things you can find after the ending make you doubt who was wrong and right; take the note from John to Nick about wanting to protect him and his family.
Its still a little difficult to rationalize the doing the wrong thing for the right reasons with people being flayed alive and forced cannibalism etc though!
