An empty map that was so featureless it might has well have been a desert.
I think he means because of malaria ? You had to get medicine and gun jams maybe ? Not sure think that's what he means. Maybe also he game was a bit more hardcore, if I remember if you die you spawn somewhere miles away and there's no fast travel wasn't it something like that ? My memory of it is hazy but I remember loving the atmosphere of fc2, I played on hard and I remember the game being pretty tough. I had to plan alot, you could only carry a couple guns.

I liked that they jammed too. And they degraded, that's a feature I'd like back. Though I also like having loads of option so gameplay stays fun, get bored of one weapon try something else.

I think I get what you guys are saying about player urgency, like because we have everything at our finger tips the games alot easier, fc2 was way more hardcore, you had to plan ahead a bit, guns jammed, only carry a few guns, malaria all gave this urgency

Player agency is about how much you feel you are in control of your decisions and that they have consequences.
The Dragon Age and Witcher games are very good at it.

FC5 give the impression of that... then pulls the rug.
    Which ironically.....

...is exactly what FC2 did in the end sequences

@Rio, people politely expressing a different view and highlighting flaws in your argument is not insulting you, it is reasonable debate.
So back to your claim of the omission of Physics....

    Ummm no.
    FC5 Has Physics....

Then I must be completely wrong, that sounds more like player choice not urgency ? No ?

Oh he said player agency, never heard of that in my life. Far cry games have never had any element of choice in there story's lol

LOL just had a reboot and lost a reply, but yeah you have got it now, although I do think you are right on the urgency point in FC2.
Apart from when you set your alarm clock and go for a nap

FC3 and 4 had some degree in that you could choose aspects of the final ending.
    FC1 didnt...

Maybe you need to know a bit more about gaming before running your mouth off.

What I really loved about Far Cry 2 was the day night cycle which occured no matter what you did, the sun that actually moved throughout the day, the fact that if you shot a bush it broke the branch off, the choices of going with APR or UFLL, the choice to make at the end of the story, the music playing throughout all of the gameplay, the missions which had meaning, the learning curve you had to go through to play it on hardcore, the multiplayer which was better than COD's and overall just a very memorable game which I suppose is why there are so many 100's of 1000's of people still talking about FC2.

All good reasons to like a game, I can agree with the main missions point, they were well crafted. Outposts, convoys etc.... meh.
Similarly for the MP game, although I am perhaps biased since they did not recreate the staple MP from FC1: Assault.

The point being we all have our favourites...

I dont believe I have given you any cause to be so caustic in your response, but again for the interest of debate, what do you perceive my Gaming Knowledge to be, and can you recommend anyways, other than blindly agreeing with you, by which I might improve it?

Running my mouth off by asking for an explanation to terminology I've never heard of?

    You're an arse'ole.
