    Performance Issues

I haven't played this game since about last summer.

I recently got a 1080ti and patched up the game to it's most recent patch.

I can't get vsync to work with any combination and if I do get it to work the screen stutters as a rotate the camera.

I used to use nvidiaprofileinspector with fps, vsync - adaptive, vsync - force on and that worked well...now it doesn't seem to do anything so I tried custom game settings in nvidia control panel...nothing...tried different combinations of vsync, adaptive, off and FPS lock in game and nothing seems to give both no screen tearing and stutter/choppyness as I turn the camera.

    Game is 2 years old, running a 6700k, 16gb ram and a 1080ti and I can't enjoy it?

What combination of settings is working for you guys these days?

P.S. I'm playing with a xbox controller on my PC

This is not based in any scientific fact, rhime or reason... this is what I do when the crap hits the fan and the game does not work... your mile may vary since I know this can be done automatically.

1.- Unistall your video driver completely... restart in safe mode and use cleaner if you can to get rid of any remmants of the previous driver.

2.- install fresh copy of their latest driver... download directly from source and run with elevated admin rights. Restart again just for good measure.

Make sure your 1080ti is the primary card in Device Manager and Nvidia CPanel. Fire your game up and play with the settings a bit and hopefully this is all you will need.

If it still crapping out on you, extreme measures dictates...

    1.- Save your game profile...

2.- Full unistall of your game getting rid of remmnats with Ccleaner and after restart... full installation of the game to start from scratch... test with new character and see if that loads with new settings.

    good Luck

Well the only thing I can try here is a clean install of the game...so here I go...almost 70gb download...and watch them release a patch a week after I do this...

Why is that the only thing you can try? did you try the first thing and didn't do anything? I must confess that I am not hip with all this new Nvidia technology and adaptive this and syn that... Good luck anyways

Oh and the release of huge patches is because they can't be bothered to do it right so they create this mumbo jumbo BS excuse that they are doing it for our benefit... in the end, it has never work for many in the first try anyways

I guess the only unanswered question here is what your monitor's refresh rate is. Is your framerate typically above it?

It wouldn't surprise me and it wouldn't be the first time... I have heard people with 5K rigs having more issues than other people with 1K rigs.

I have 8GBs of RAM and not a single issue with the Betas, aside of course from suffering with a lowly 1050ti but I couldn't believe how much the guys with 1080 & 16GBs of Ram were suffering. I am not even going to pretend to understand why that is or was but I know that having an expensive rig is not always good... at least that is my excuse not to spend that kind of money and I'm sticking to it
