well atm I have only finished 1 challenging mission and that was like 1 of the leveling missions not a 4man 'alert' thats with my current setup going full on electronics and using:

    sticky bomb, pulse, recovery link

talents were based around exploding dmg buffing

    Hello!

For Tactician builds I found speccing all into electronics is the way to go. With attributes primaily in

Skill power (Mask, knees and backpack) Enemy armor damage (chest and gloves) Damage to elites (mask and knees)
Skill haste (chest, gloves and holster)

Mods should be electronic mods with skillpower and skill haste.

You'll want one lower gearscore weapon with Determined, Ferocious and Destructive. The reason for the lower gearscore weapon is to unlock the Talents, which will boost your damage to your seeker mines and sticky bomb (not 100% sure if it works with Turret).

I would also work on getting a Relentless backpack as well, as it heals you for 5% damage dealt to enemies. This removes the need for a heal skill, and allows for a little more aggressive playstyle.

With this setup I've seen my pulse turret hit for over 20k per hit and my sticky over 2 million.

    Hope this helps!

May come off noobish, but is there mods that give both elec and skill power or elec + skill haste?

also where would a relentless backpack come from without DLC'

    Yep.

Have a look at DZ East 46th street, Camp Clinton and the Cavern.

Oh yes, for Tac builds that 50% skill haste is essential - it’s amazing what a percentage point or two below 50 feels like.

Yeah...I played with a guy recently who said he was just destroying every weapon/gear below the GS he had, without even looking at it.

Yoda knows his stuff (I run with him fairly often). It's certainly a solid way of doing it.

Look on the thread that was linked earlier in this thread.

Myself, I focus on the following:

    1. Firearms just high enough to unlock Talented/Competent on Assault Rifle (256+). I use equipment mods to get that (Firearms/Skill Haste mods - currently DZ East 40th is selling 266 FA/3% skill haste mods, which is all of 1 point below the best possible you can get, buy some if you can, they're useful for a lot of builds). All other mods are either Electronics/skill haste (DZ E46th currently selling 265/+3% skill haste, this is good as well) or Electronics Skill power (The Cavern currently selling 267/+ 3322 Skill power, YOU WILL PROBABLY NEVER FIND BETTER, do yourself a favour and buy 5 of these at the least, it's regular credits not DZ funds, you should have the money).
    2. Destructive on 3rd talent of Assault Rifle for armor damage.
    3. Relentless Backpack for constant healing from skill damage (currently on sale at DZ E58th, swap out Firearms for Electronic stat, otherwise it's good to go).
    4. Priority on Equipment Skills: Skill power, Skill Haste, Enemy Armor Damage, Damage to Elites, Assault Rifle Damage...whatever after that.

For myself, I get my skill haste up to 48% with mods. The difference between that and 50% for me, with my seekers, is all of about 0.4 seconds, which I don't actually notice most of the time. It leads to a better chance - due to my skill power, as that means I can put on another 267 Electronics / + 3322 Skill Power mod - of taking out the bloody LMB medics with a sticky-bomb on Legendary, and that's worth more than those 0.4 seconds to me as those freaking medics are what makes those fights into grinds.

Mileage may vary, and does - peruse the other threads to see other Tactician setups. Many are really good, and work just fine (or, I'm sure, even better than mine). You just need to find the right one for your playstyle.

Some damn good mods this week.
I already had better but not by much.

What were they again? 265 electronics with 3% skill haste and 267 electronics with 3022 skill power...I think?

    267 is max roll btw.

I tried the seeker bombers how do you use those? I thought if you tap they lay beside you and roll to enemies?

Tap the button and you'll drop them where you stand, and they'll roll out to enemies within range.

Hold the button down, and you can aim where you want to throw them, then release and you'll throw them like a grenade.

Tried them again when I logged back for the length I was able to remain in-game the few times, and I like em so far, been casting those then using sticky to finish off elites if they dont bleed out ofc.

This was just doing 15 open bosses though so that may not be a good test of them.

which ult should I be running I been running the tanky 1 mainly because what I am currently doing I can pretty much range everything to death while remaining in cover if needed.

Not many people use 4 piece / 2 piece builds anymore but if you're going down that route, I recommend you use the Ninja Bike backpack so you can actually run a 4 piece / 3 piece build or a 4 piece / 2 piece / 2 piece.

I got this barret chest with 5 piece tactician going, saw a video saying that was the way to go, figured I'd give that a shot see how it holds up for me.

using cluster seeker, BFB sticky, and bouncing between recov link and tech link still

    talents

2 for explosions, 1 for bleed, and 1 for immunity

once the delta stuff is sorted out I plan to try out some legendary missions solo see how it holds up.

mods are skill haste, dmg to elites, seeker explode radius, sticky explode radius

seeker/sticky mods I plan to change out for dmg instead of radius.
