My biggest gripe is there are multiple versions of the exact same weapon with the same specs but just with a slightly different name and a different skin.
I would also like to see a sell back option.Like when you buy a weapon and it turns out you don't like it, you could have the option to sell it back at the store but for maybe like half the price of what you originally paid for it. Like how it's done in Wolfenstein 2009.
No, you're not the only one that feels that way.
As Sean mentioned, there are multiple variations of the same weapons with the exact same traits. Also, some weapons are equal to or better than weapons than they shouldn't be. For instance, the MP5K and AR-C. Identical in every category (including damage) except the MP5K is even better in the handling department.
The accessories also are deficient in complexity. Quite frankly, it all lends to a feeling of a general lack of depth in the gameplay for me.
I agree. I miss the crossbow (FC4) portable mortar (FC2) and the UBIclub AJM 9 they offered as a club reward. (I used the gun all the way through multiple games) Far Cry 4 had a great variety, though I found myself using only a set few once I unlocked everything. I really dislike that guns are tied to resistance instead of story or natural exploration. I never had an issue with towers anyway. I also miss the knife and the take downs. Thank god the throwing knife is there, but I have to give kudos to Ubi. It is satisfying to beat down a cultist with a bat or shovel. The sound alone along with the animation is really really good.
I'd like to see the ability to remove scopes. I want the power of a .50 Cal, but I hate scopes because of the way they blind you to your surroundings. If you could removes scopes I'd carry two .50 Cals - one with a scope for long-range sniping and another for mid-distance battles.
Is there any way to 'up' the damage rating for weapons that use red-dot sights?
Sights are basically for accuracy, not damage. In the game, it's the ammo that determines damage - along with where you hit the target. Head shots should always be the priority, unless you know it's a weak target and a one hit anywhere will be a kill.Originally Posted by OurJud Go to original post
FC5 is like the previous games, basically an arrow is a one shot kill until the heavies show up, plus the later NPCs wearing the black long coats (but a head shot will one shot them as well).
I understand that much. I'm not quite that ignorant to the way guns workOriginally Posted by MikeWeeks Go to original post
What I meant is... well, exactly what I said. I want a .50 Cal gun but with red-dot sights instead of a scope, because scopes are no good for mid-range battles.
