Lol, sad but true maybe, but BY LAW an officer is often required to render aid and to try and help people who just tried to harm or kill them. I know of several lawsuits and legal issues that have cropped up due to officers NOT rendering aid in a timely manner in cases where they were the ones shooting them in justified shootings. You see that is part of the job of Law Enforcement to try and render aid and protect life, no matter if they are good or bad people. IF Faith were to be actively shooting at you/Deputy then this wood be a moot point, but she instead is unarmed and basically commits suicide right in front of you by drowning herself. IF a Law Enforcement Officer just stood by and watched while someone walked back into not that deep water and drowned themselves it would in fact open themselves up for legal and civil action. It would depend on Jury and how good the Lawyers were to determine who would win, but the case is there.Originally Posted by Head5h0t Go to original post
To me this is also just another indication of another missed choice point that Ubi failed to capitalize on in there effort to ram the story down out throat. Ubisoft made a graphic novel movie instead of a true game, and in today's age of open world games it is really sad that they missed the whole point of open world gaming.
If we're talking DLC, I'd want to see what became of the other Faiths. We know one died and had her body dumped, but it's implied another was disloyal and may have left. If she was in that deep and still got out, that shows that Rachel (the Faith we see in the story) could have too, and therefore just like Noore from Far Cry 4 she was merely convincing herself that she was a victim in order to justify to herself the terrible things she was doing.Originally Posted by Grem87 Go to original post
I think when she hit the water, she was already dead. At least, her Faith persona was dead. I'm not sure about Rachel Jessop though. In the "Resist" ending you need to down your brainwashed friends to free them from the effects of the Bliss. Obviously this does not work on the Seed brothers, but Faith is only an adopted Seed so who knows? Maybe all the previous Faiths and the current one were created by exposing them to an ungodly amount of Bliss that would normally turn people into Angels. But Faith retained some of her previous personality and even had doubts about the Project (based on that note left in the Throne of Mercy Church.) When she dies, her essence turns into a Bliss flower, which might indicate that she was created by the Bliss and now she returned into the Bliss.Originally Posted by modmcsupersport Go to original post
By the way, Faith is missing from the Arcade editor for some reason. Maybe Ubisoft still has something in store for us that involves Faith.
The sad thing is, they could have done so much more with these cutscenes: they could have added quick-time actions (like the context-sensitive interrupt system in Mass Effect 2 that allowed you, for example, to knock the delusional "biotic god" Volus off his feet). When Faith is beaten and holds out her hand, there could have been a QTE giving you an opportunity to reach out and comfort her as she dies (which, in turn, could have turned out to be a ruse, depending on your previous choices).
But apparently creating a story with ample room for player choices and real multiple endings was too expensive so they cheaped out on it.
I have really enjoyed FarCry 5 except for the lack of choice. After defeating Faith I would of saved her if possible, she was indeed a tragic character. I am in my second play through and would rather surrender to he rthan kill her yet again. Maybe she did what she was supposed to or she is like many say a tragic individual. Maybe an expansion pack where you could save her, join the cult or explore other story options than just the resistance.
