Same problem here.
Worked well for 1 day, took the VIP pass for a month and now I can't connect.
Sometimes it connects, it let me start a song, and quit in the middle of the song.
Something else that seem to make the problem worst is trying to use an android phone as a controller. No way to join the room, it always quit on the appletv.
Both versions (android and appletv) are the most recent ones, been reinstalled to be sure.

Spent a couple of hours working on this and involved the online support. Unfortunately, there were no Mobil app resources to resolve.
