I've always been a huge fan of the Far Cry series.
Wonderful games - not perfect but nothing ever is, and to be honest that's a good thing as it means there's always
the scope for the next game to be even better.
For me, Far Cry 5 has seen an amazing jump. An even better narrative, a living world with real personality, wonderful characters
and generally just so much fun to play. And that's even without the bonus of the fantastic Arcade addition!
I should also point out one particularly amazing fact:
THIS IS THE FIRST OPEN WORLD GAME I'VE PLAYED WHERE I NEVER USED FAST TRAVEL ONCE!
There was never any desire to. In Hope County the journey was easily just as enjoyable as the destination.
Serious props to the devs for creating such an engaging world and amazingly fun sandbox.
So here's one wish wish if i had one, and its such a minor detail (a lot of programming work though, dont get me wrong).
As a dog lover, I thought Boomer was fanstic - so much so I felt bad every time I drove to a destination and he had to run
to keep up. It felt cruel - which is testament to the chracter attachment the devs have made.
How cool would it have been if Boomer could sit in the car, poking his head out the window in the breeze as you drove?
Anyway, that wouldve been my fish. A silly wish in respect to the wonderful game we've been presented with.
Anyway thanks so much Ubisoft for giving me the chance to play in your little creation.
