Curse of the Pharaohs, Anubis soldiers dead pharaohs as characters etc.

I was just wondering if there is a plan to add Anubis soldiers and un-dead pharaohs as playable characters in the Animas control panel?

Shame this one hasn't gotten a response yet, I'm curious about it too. After adding such cool-looking models to the game it almost feels like a waste not to throw them in for the fun.

I love the models they put in there. The Anubis soldiers and Tutankhamen especially. It would be a lot of fun to play the main game as these characters.

I think a part of the problem is that those characters are larger than Bayek. And none of them have climbing animations. Due to their larger skeletons, the mesh rigging might make some animations look odd or cause the mesh to bend out of shape.

It works for the children characters (ie: Discovery Tour) because Khemu had climbing animations from the beginning in his introduction and it was easy to transfer over.

That would indeed probably be a big problem for the pharaoh models since they're never encountered outside of cutscenes or arena-style fight sections, but the NPCs you find out in the world like the Anubis and mummy guys do have climbing animations of their own. At the very least, they can climb in and out of their ships with no problem in Aaru.

Of course, there may still be plenty that wouldn't work (or at least look) right with their size. The moving through tight passageways animation comes to mind.

it would be absolutely amazing to have the DLC characters in this feature. Though from the above comments that I see, I don't think it's about the size of the characters, or that they don't have climbing animations...considering in Discovery mode you can do climbing with the children characters just fine. I'd LOVE to be able to climb and fight as an Anubis guard SO bad! Please AC team and Ubisoft, make this a thing!!

Climbing animations aren't related to children because they've been in the game since day 1 release for the children. There are no such animations for larger characters, which can possibly cause issues with the mesh and the rigging based on the position of the skeleton.

The comparison to the child characters isn't applicable because Khemu climbs during his introduction.

Then they should just stick to the standard sized enemies I guess if they can't figure out what to do with the big ones. Some Anubis guards are your size, same with most of the characters, though the Pharaohs will just have to be a big no. I don't see them trying to rig a whole new climbing system for the bigger characters.

    Agreed.

And it should be known I'm just guessing here. As someone who has worked with this sort of stuff before, it's possible. But Ubisoft are the professionals.

Regardless, I highly doubt this request will happen.

I honestly doubt it too, but can only hope we'll be heard. I'm just gonna keep bumping this with replies and just beg. The DLC characters should definitely be in the game, even if it's just the noraml sized characters, because the skeletal rig for bayek can still be used inside the models.
