I think if zone capture was tied to feat gain, and when a zone was captured a finite amount of feat gain was split between the number of people that captured the zone, so 1 person would gain that amount for themselves, or if 4 captured the point it would be split between the four of them, that might go to helping the situation. But that would only be in dominion and not necessarily solve anything. Gankers still gonna gank.

I’m not saying all teams are gankers/death ballers in the slightest, but not addressing that issue head on isn’t going to solve it. Also... in a deathball situation 3/5 kd would be a fairly decent score. I’ve seen games where the opposition is 17/0 each and I’ve dropped in halfway, the rest of my team quickly becoming bots, and then they are singling out you - the one human player. People are quitting those games. The mechanics can’t be on the player to help themselves against ganking/fighting honourably, that can only be abused and this isn’t an honourable game - people aren’t honourable, you can’t rely on people to play the ‘right’ way. People will find a loop hole and take that to a tournament, shaking the hand of the person who hands them the trophy, because people are people.

I myself like to stand back if someone is being outnumbered but I know that’s not playing to win and plenty of people go straight for the attack if there isn’t a reason not too, and frankly they should jump in. It needs a solution to help being outnumbered. And I absolutely think being outnumbered you should expect to have a rough time too - a chance to fight back but not a bonus to kill every one of them every time. Bouncing attacks off allies/handicaps to playing as a group would kill the flow of the game. I proposed the below, because it would go a long way to fixing every 1v1-4 encounter, not solely dominion. At the moment being outnumbered is not enjoyable because of the game mechanics.

    Solutions: ganking

    Revenge
    • Implements 'slippery' for attacks that disable the player (like the feat the stops GB, some kind of mechanic that stops 'disables' under revenge).
    • Always auto parries/escapes holds on activation of revenge - no exceptions and more lenient timings - no more activating revenge and still taking 3 heavies to the face.
    • Activates immediately when called upon.
    • Ignores rocksteady feat.

    General
    • Revenge gain benefits per extra player attack - E.g. no revenge gain when attacked by 1 person, regular revenge gains once attacked by 2nd person, 150% revenge gains once attacked by 3rd person, full revenge once attacked by 4th person.
    • Parry timings open up per extra player attack - E.g. Regular parry timings when attacked by 1 person, 5% more parry window once attacked by 2nd person, 7.5% more parry window once attacked by 3rd person, 10% more parry window once attacked by 4th person.
    • All revenge gains dissipate after the 1vX encounter has concluded, any bonuses given from extra opponents are removed.

    Solutions: feats

Feats need a complete rework, but the main culprits being instakills when breaking. In prior threads I had suggested catapult has accuracy applied where it can miss its mark, a point where the player calling it in actually has to spend the time doing so, calling to outside for a moment leaving them open for attack. There should also be a much longer window from when the catapult is called upon to the projectile landing. Arrow feats should likewise call in archers that can be taken out like your regular minions. Much like the revenge training minions on the bridge.

Personally, I think all feats are a little uninspired and break the flow of the game at the moment. There should be feats to call in archers, captains etc. not scud missiles. At a pinch they need to be tweaked out with minor changes. Altogether they should be rethought. I’m fine with OHK feats, but don’t make them cheap and borderline unavoidable.

    IMO-
This is not an issue the developers can fix.
This is more of an issue of people not knowing how to handle the situation. The issue is getting attcked by multiple people at once and not being able to survive. Answer is simple don’t get caught alone. Sure there is always going to be times when you get caught alone, but you need to learn to buddy up! If you notice them staying in a group of 3 or more. Make sure you do them same. You don’t even need to verbally communicate. When you spawn after getting ganked wait for a teammate to spawn or quickly find a teammate. In dominion always run in pairs, simple as that. And For gods sake if you see 3 enemies at a flag don’t run in there solo thinking your going to conquer the world. I see so many idiots doing this over and over again. Also you just have to realize sometime your teammate might be worthless. Not there fighting skill but in the ability to read the situation at hand. You know go for the unguarded flag instead of the one with four people.

Anyways So Basically team up with people even if they don’t know u teamed up with them. You will be slaughter a lot less.

    Good luck...

To be honest I don't think the right route is always to group together. In some cases, yes, but I have seen many cases where the person spamming group up is doing so either when the team is not holding any zones or when they are fighting in their one white zone. Doing that is a problem because you are not playing the objective and generally by the time you have killed their second, their first is ready to come back and turn it into a full blown rolling skirmish.

While, by the by, only the opposition score is climbing and people don't even get it, I got a message flaming me for not joining that mess in one game.

The reason it isn't an issue in high level play is down to two things in my view, part of it is that they are capable of 1vx, I don't think that is the biggest part though, in the games I have seen high level streamers play the biggest consistency is that they play the objective and the other team needs to be in more than one place at once otherwise they are always scoring slower.

Months ago I posted this here. https://forums.ubi.com/showthread.ph...eds-BIG-toning

You UbiJurassic commented on my post that You will pass the idea to devs. From then no feedback from you, or any other mods or devs.

It just looks silly to me to go to forums after half a year and see this thread to be sticky, but my thread dead long ago..

Guess I know why I did move to reddit lol.

I'm sorry I have to do this, but could someone please comment on these ideas? Especially the first one about attacks on allies... I would really like to know, what the community or the developers think about those, since they add a completely new spin to the topic.

I am still strongly confident, that any changes to the Revenge mode will not benefit the situation in any way.

    1. flip the spawns
    2. joining a 1v1 or 2v1 to gank doesn't get you any points. i.e. you don't get any assist points.
    3. Make a no party playlist so parties can't join making it harder to communicate and form a gank squad.
    4. Improve the revenge
    5. when teams losing by for example 400points they gain feats quicker by double the time.

All these methods work in so many other games.

Maps too small, meaning you can cover the whole map as a group, you do not need to split up. Points giving points even when no one is holding it.

Disable moves too strong, which will give a huge advantage to a team with a lot of disablers.

Same goes for feats, they are too strong, and you can snowball easily, especially when one of the disablers gets the strongest feats (LB nade)

Premades going against PU. Only duo premade should go against PU, group of 3 and 4 players should go against each others.

I read so often two things here. First. The map is to small. No! The maps needs more zones to split up the groups. Is this a fighting game or a run game?

And the second. Group up, body up, wait on your spawn. For what? When i do that, what happen! Every time we fight 4vs4 on 10 square meter with walls and deeps. And one bomb kills all. Is it this what you want? For me is this a trash fight!

I hope there is a solid solution that doesn't buff revenge. Please don't do that. Only way you could buff revenge in a good way is to make it so that when you have revenge activated you can block unblockables like any other move. But please do not buff revenge again like the old days.

Even though I'm a Lawbringer main he has too many bombs. I do use feats in 4v4s, but I've always actually disliked them. I know the majority probably wouldn't agree, but a 4v4 mode that has no feats at all would be beautiful.
