Pretty amazing to see the cross section of what we all might be a solve... If anything it's definitely shown me that solve or not they can't please everyone!

A twist on what other posters have presented.

To decrease a behavior you could either punish players or incentivize an opposite behavior. I prefer the latter.

When I play dominion and am racing across beautifully designed ramparts, through gates, and up tower stairwells, I always feel a little disappointed that gameplay is confined to such small areas—the capture points. Encourage battles in different areas of the map. While capturing the main objective have additional requirements to guard the gate, defend the stairwell, protect (some region of the map). Then, incentivize it.

Now you have 1 player on the main objective and three players spread out on individual points. You can create all sorts of variations.

Read all this suggestion day by day I realize that Ubi must do something to Dominion already.
Cause some of ideas here could be good on paper and bad in game, some could look stupid on paper and be great in game, but devs already should start fixing Dominion. And popularity of this thread are the first reason why they should.

The idea that teamwork is a bad thing is insanity. Why should anyone be punished on my team, or my team as a whole because a teammate/s decided help me?

Sometimes this leads to the player getting revenge and killing my over zealous teammates. You have to know when to and when not to, also when someones baiting you to simply get revenge.

The system to have no system is the right way.Every game supports teamwork for some reason you guys want to punish it. It shouldnt be 1V1's everywhere.

You seems to mistake teamwork with outnumbering. In League of Legends teamwork (actual teamwork) is encouraged to the maximum. Real teamwork being knowing when to wander off from your designated role and successfully aid another teammate without losing your own objective as a cost for attempting that. Real teamwork is all teammates making the proper setup in their designated roles so that they can all leave their spots quickly in a coordinated manner and capture an external objective before other team can interfere and fall back to their roles before losing their own objectives.

Rolling as a full team vs single enemies at all times is not teamwork by any means. And proper successful games with crazy high activity and recognized esports qualities does their best to punish rolling as a team as a main strategy so that it becomes a matter of real teamwork to actually converge on an objective as a team without paying the cost game mechanics sets as a countermeasure.

Problem with For Honor that there are absolutely no countermeasures.

I think the ganking meta will be an unwinnerable battle. By the time there is a good solution, it may be too late, sorry for being pessimistic but thats the reality of it, little changes might help nd make it easier to cope with but in the 4v4 game modes thats just whats it is going to be like.

I don’t think it’s all that hard to solve really. Dominion changes aside (cause that won’t go anywhere near solving ganking on its own) some minor changes to revenge and how revenge is gained is all it needs.

Teamwork, it's when your teammate Shinobi kicked Centurion directly to your halberd and you ride him across zone right into th ledge. That's teamwork.
Spam attack or stun moves as animals to just kill one quick as possible are not a teamwork.
Last weekend I met premade that did same one things all the time. They always hit one person all together, even in team fights. When someone of them get low HP, they momently switched to someone who beat their teammates 1v1 and gunk him.
I saw it myself on Sanctuary Bridge. I have my "duel" with two of them, next moment Shinobi successfully made distant GB to my teamate Orochi and I saw how this two guys just roll away instantly and went to kill Orochi.
If this teamwork in your opinion, it's too pity. Cause in real life it's call abuse the system.

"Outnumbering" as you call it requires communication, planning, and action. Rolling as a full team is the very definition of teamwork. Imagine people complaining in Gears or Halo over this. Its insane.

The problem to you is that it doesnt fit into what you consider teamwork. You cant say teamwork is people spreading out taking designated positions, etc. Thats called strategy. Teamwork by definition is the combined action of a group of people, especially when effective and efficient. Not what you want it to be.

Please see above. There is no abuse of the system. People are using what is within the games rules. Youre actually annoyed people want to defend a teammate who has low health. You literally said that.

Hey look I love the unwritten For Honor codes. And if its one guy left and 4 of us, I make sure he gets the 1V1. But other than that 4V4, I want to win, I want to live, so do my teammates. Perhaps more than you. People preach realism and grit, imagine this being a real battle and you had one group screaming for "fair" fights and 1V1s. Like I said my character wants to live and return to her throne.

You find your ways, I have found mine. Stronger together.

I believe problem in that while other games based on objectives try to punish full team gunking by some objectives cost for "teamwork", For Honor just encourage this type of gameplay. So objectives become more and more useless, and more and more people could just give up on them to win. Otherwise, the only matter is how you supposed to play. When match start I always run to the zone with one teamate and other two goes to another zone. If everything fine, we have our 2v2 on both zones. But when there come 4 people, gunk, recaptured the zone and go to another it's became complete mess. And no any trouble for teams doing it. Sure you can meet people who just try to gunk and failed, but if team have experience in it, you'll probably loose the match. THATS the problem.

Ok, I could agree all this if devs add some critical dmg multiplayer to attack from behind, so all this brave guys who roll away to instanly gunk my teammate, while I targeted them, could get one hit punishment.
Same as in real life. If For Honor have something in common with real fencing, I believe nobody screaming for "fair" fight. But while it's full designed around 1v1 close combat and have not proper system to free roam hits or 1vX fight, I insist that this type of play are abuse of the system.
