    A list of missing features

Here is a SHORT list I have made of some of the missing features added since Far Cry 2 and have now been removed for Far Cry 5...

    Knife takedowns
    Grenade takedowns
    Vehicle takedowns and hijacking
    Takedowns while using Wingsuit
    Dragging bodies
    Arena Battles
    Outpost Master point scoring
    Change time of day
D50, Crossbow, Flare Gun... and many more
    WHY?
All these missing features restrict the players options in approaching combat and being creative.

    Doesn't look good... does It
Feel free to add your own🤔

    I don't see what point you're making.

This is Far Cry 5, not Far Cry 2. It's a different game.

All you've done here is create a list of features you wish were in Far Cry 5, and plucked an assumption from thin air that these things should have been mandatory for some reason.

I agree that these things would make the game better and more fun.
But they are not missing since all those are from other games and Ubisoft never promised that these things would be in Far Cry 5.

He's talking about games from the same franchise which have shared similarities with one another since the early iterations. His point is that he (and some others) enjoyed these components and don't see why they never carried over.

......quite relevant and nowhere near a stretch to question as to why Ubi doesn't revisit some of these features they eventually removed.

I know it isn't Far Cry 2... the point here is that there is no reason for these basic things to be missing.
Take a look on YouTube of the inventive ways people took outposts in FC4... now look a 5... you hit enemies on the head with a bat or shovel over and over again
    It is beyond simplified.
In a sequel you remove what doesn't work and expand on what does.
Can you think of a good reason why all these things all gone?
They ADDED Sliver Bars... that they did add.

To be fair, no I can't. There's a few in there I'd like to have seen myself.

But my point was games change, and sometimes with a franchise you've either got to stay on for the ride or jump off and find something else.

    .
Damned skippy it ain't - Far Cry 2 had real weather, the ability to set the time of day ya wanted to do missions, non-exploding plant life when run over or through by vehicles, trees that actually swayed in the breezes (not just the grass) and they also moved when grenades or explosions happened nearby, some even lost limbs. Enemies actually performed medical help to their compatriots and you can pick from multiple HARD difficulty levels.

In the words of one my gaming heroes, Major Slack (from YouTube) Far Cry 2 is probably the best game UBI will ever produce - and it is certainly far better than FC5.

You can carry a body, what does it matter if you carry vs. dragging?

In Primal you could perform a takedown, but then keep hold of the body in the same move and drag it back to hide it somewhere. I assume this is what he's referring to, and I have to say it was a far more efficient method for hiding bodies.

That's a matter of opinion, of course, but it still doesn't alter the fact.
