Reboot - 100% sure it wont be a reboot, they mentioned 4th Echelon in GRW, why would they do that if they would just scrap everything and start from the beginning like nothing happened, as much as i would like the salvage the trainwreck of a story the series has been ever since Double Agent, it wont happen.

Open World - We all have this fear, an open world SC WILL NOT WORK, the series is known for its globetrotting campaign of global espionage and threats, staying put in one place no matter how big, is just WRONG, i shudder at the thought of an open world game by ubisoft, boring as watching paint dry, OPEN SANDBOX LEVELS ala Bank Level (CT), MGSGZ or Hitman6 is the way to go. (we must have said this over a 10000 times, hope ubi listened)

First on XBOXONE - haha, D.O.A, Ubisoft knows better than to kill the series like that, they haven't made a console exclusive in years, no reason to start now, its not like they are in financial trouble and need Microsoft money to save themselves, they are one of the biggest AAA companies in the world, they know that in this generation most "gamers" are on PS4 and PC, their own financial reports of last year showed their playerbases in those leading platforms, Fake.
They Probably have some exclusive DLC deal, and will market it with xbox consoles like they did with Blacklist, nothing to worry about here, i am 100% sure about this also.

Fall 2019 - Only part of this fake rumor that holds some water, the release date could be anything as far as we know, not much to say here

Thanks for the "leak" S.V any news about SC7 fuels our anticipation even more, even if it is fake

A reboot open world game sounds fake.

There's no need for a reboot and for a open world, lets hope it isn't real. The only part that could be real is first on xbox one we all know that they have some kind of deal so it wouldn't be something new.

I just saw that news and was about to create a topic
I hope it won't be true because it would be my two greatest fears about the game.
I'm really scared of reboots in games (and even in movies). And I don't want Splinter Cell to be an open-world game, never.

Well, this GRW crossover could act as a sort of "gate-closer" to the canon story as it has been until now.

    Then, a reboot could work.

Starfield: [Gameplay Demo, Open World sci fi RPG, 2018th Season]
I'm actually more excited for this game. This is Bethesda's next Elder Scrolls/Fallout gameplay styled RPG.
I guess it's gonna be in space or something.

    Madden: [Gameplay Trailer, Fall 2018]
Yay. A football game. Never expected to see one of those again!

Battlefield V: [Marketing, Gameplay Trailer, Fall 2018]
Another linear, generic, fps game?! AWESOME! How innovative!

Halo: Genesis [Reboot, split screen, Warzone 2.0, MP Beta 2018, Teaser Trailer, Fall 2019]
    Wow. MORE Halo!

Splinter Cell: [Reboot, Open-World, First on Xbox One, Fall 2019]
Then there's gonna be ^this^ weirdo there.

My thoughts exactly. That DLC confirmed it was a sequel.

    But they probably didn't LMAO

I could see Fall 2019 happening which would make sense if we go by Ubisoft's CEO statement saying they going to pick an idea soon for the brand last year.

    Reboot, I don't think so.

Open world. I hope the fawk not!

I`m starting to think that the new game might in fact be a reboot. Notice how every single SC7 rumor to date only mentions Splinter Cell or Splinter Cell 2018. Wouldn`t the subtitle be leaked as well? Most of the other leaked games have a subtitle associated with them.
