For Honor servers are not reachable in Russia after the latest crackdown on Telegram
I'll preface my post by saying that:
1. Some of the Russian ISPs are slower than others in blocking the IPs requested by the RKN, so some of the Russian players can still play normally (at least for the time being).
2. This is more of a heads-up on what's going on if you're wondering why the numbers of Russian players might be down somewhat over the last two days.
So here's what's happening, basically:
What you're looking at:
00:00: attempting to enter the game usually results in you being stuck on the 'Connecting to servers' message for a while, and then getting booted back into the splash screen with the error 7-00000005 (see e.g. 2:45).
3:10: after a few tries, you might actually get into the main menu (prolly has to do with some Amazon Cloud servers used by UBI still not being blocked), but the game will tell you that it failed to retrieve the faction war results and its current status. Note the missing viking wins in the top right corner.
3:23: attempting to join a PvP game results in you finding a game almost instantly, but then getting booted into the main menu with the error 0004000029.
