Hey everyone, Steve from RedLynx here! The team is currently in the process of finalizing the last details of the technical elements surrounding our upcoming April update. That means it should be releasing within the next week! Buck and I have put together some info for you all, so that we can give you as much information as possible about the upcoming event and our April update.
THIS WEEK
This week, we’ll be having a team event that will coincide with the release of a new card! It will be a token collection event - players will be able to collect tokens through PvP packs and lockers to progress through the event and collect prizes. This new card has never been seen in-game before, and has an awesome aura ability!
This week, we’ll also be hosting our weekly Developer Livestream, answering community questions, raffling off sweet loot (including a Level 2 version of the BRAND NEW EVENT CARD!), and discussing this weekend’s event! Tune in on Facebook Live and Twitch this Thursday at 8 PM Pacific/ 11 PM Eastern to hang out with us, ask your questions, and maybe even win some sweet loot!
Since our last update, our primary focus has been on fixing bugs, making quality of life improvements, and developing new features for future releases. Our progress on fixing bugs has resulted in over 250 fixed bugs. These had varying degrees of player visibility, but all result in a better experience now, and greater stability for future releases. We’ve selected some of the most prominent, and put them below.
- Fixed issue where Space Warrior Token would stand over slain units until the unit disappeared
- Fixed issue where Space Warrior Token is hit with a speedup effect during his charge, the ability would not wear off.
- Fixed issue where players would lose stars after opponent left popup
- Fixed a bug where 'Warcry' projectiles are being thrown instantly if the targeted unit is being summoned, most notable with Alien Clyde.
- Fixed a bug where units could get stuck behind the New Kid.
- Fixed issue with Space Warrior Token where speed up effect would stack if applied twice.
- Fixed issue where Warcry Powers are applied before animation.
- Fixed issue where players were unable to launch the game after asset bundle update.
- Fixed visual bug where viewing opponents card during its death, caused it to get stuck middle of the screen.
- Fixed bug where speedup effect caused characters to skip their attack animations
- Fixed issue where starting the game from idle state sometimes caused reconnection failure.
- Fixed an issue where units would sometimes slide when first starting to move on the battlefield.
- Fixed issue with Dogpoo’s attack animation not being displayed correctly.
- Fixed issue where card request was not correctly shown in team chat.
- Fixed Dwarf King Clyde’s card description.
- Fixed issue where player would get stuck in the deck builder tutorial.
- Fixed issue wherein the loading bar animation was not playing correctly
- Fixed issue where Bandito hat would cause facial hair / hair not being displayed correctly from the side
- Fixed an issue where a player’s coin inventory could desync with the server value when using PvP tickets to convert to coins.
- 225+ other assorted bugs have been fixed.
FEATURE UPDATES/CHANGES
Legendary Locker Improvements
After this update goes live and the forced update is enabled, there will be modest improvements made to the loot found in Legendary Lockers. There will now be an increased drop rate for Epic cards, a chance for multiple copies of cards (up to 3 copies of Common cards, and 2 copies of Rare cards), more materials of all rarities, and more PvP tickets.
PvP Season Finale 2.0
Our Legendary Leaderboard and Season Reset system is getting a bit of an overhaul! In order to more clearly communicate player prizes, season placement, skill rating, and other info, we’ve added a few things that comprise a feature we call “PvP Season Finale 2.0”. When the season has ended, players will now see a season end popup showing their last standing and the Legendary Skill Rating (LSR). The LSR is a value that is used in matchmaking, and indicates your “Elo ranking”. This value will also be available now on the leaderboard as a whole. This will look something like this:
In addition to this new display for the Legendary Leaderboard, you will also now be able to see season prizes and season prize info in-game, without having to come here to the Ubisoft Forums. This should help avoid confusion, and keep all players up-to-date with the latest info. That feature will look like this:
There have also been improvements to how the Legendary Season Reset works behind the scenes that will make this system more reliable, and less prone to issues.
Detailed Pack Information For Purchased Card Packs
As previously mentioned, this update will make the chances of various loot drops visible for offers and card packs purchased with in-game currency. This will help players to make more informed decisions regarding their purchases in South Park: Phone Destroyer. This will be available on both Android and iOS devices.
This feature will come in the form of a popup that can be accessed by pressing “ i ” button next to a card pack. This popup will show following the information to players:
- For cards and upgrade items:
- Total amount
- Guaranteed amount of a given rarity
- Guaranteed amount and chance for extra
- Guaranteed maximum amounts
-For in-game currency (Coins, etc):
- Minimum and guaranteed amounts
Technical Improvements
Multiple technical improvements to improve the overall stability and performance of the game have also been added. We are currently in the process of moving more elements of PvP server-side after our recent successful partial migration. This process should be complete over the course of the next few months, and will result in a much more stable experience for all players that is less prone to disconnects, rubber-banding, lag, and other anomalies. As more information becomes available, we’ll keep you all posted. We are, however, anticipating that this will be complete and the game will be fully server-side by the end of summer.
BEYOND
In order to better work with content creators to help them create content that informs and entertains players (such as written guides, YouTube videos, livestreams, and etc) we provide certain assets (like our fan asset kit), and other such benefits. In order to improve our system for working with them, we recently opened a form to all content creators that will allow them to apply to work more closely with us!

All sounds good. My only concern/question is the new card. Will it be added to the normal rotation of cards? I don't understand the reasoning of putting new cards into the game for only a short time. New cards give people incentive to keep playing. I hope you can answer this.
Will the new card be mystic?
I mean you did **** nearly every card in Mystic in the ***. I can't believe you would **** Mystic that much.
Give me a 2 cost neutral assassin. Also, there's no point of even using the new card if it's not available through regular means. The way this game is structured, you cannot compete with cards that you haven't invested heavily in. So you're pretty much stuck with one deck or maybe 2 decks with around 4 different cards?...

Whoever said Mystic is ****d is ****ing crazy as that theme is by far the most powerful in the game. I'm ~3000 in legendary and at least 90% of the people I play use Mystic. Zen Cartman needs to be nerfed a LOT as when he's just plopped down in front of NK, I just quit the game because the best I could do is destroying 1 phone.
Speaking of phones destroyed, the new system of phones destroyed counting towards PvP packs is just awful. So dumb. Any win should get you 3 phones, no matter how many you actually destroy. And a draw should get each person 1 phone at a minimum.
Game is rapidly going downhill and I'm getting pretty bored with it...
How the hell does fixing bugs ended up nerfing speed boost? I know there were various animation problems but i got used to it and know pretty well the performance of my astronaut butter's speed boost. Im mystic and sci-fi and now my only common assassin that cost 2 is close to useless, it was my main combo for a decent offense and one of the few i could hope to raise to lvl 6.
For Mystic haters: I confirm that mystic theme has been ****ed with again and again the regen spell was nerfed at least twice. Purify and power bind were made almost obsolete since last Maj and now are barely decent. Its suposed to specialize in energy manipulation but that aspect was never even decent with an energy staff that gives the same ****ing energy ratio at lvl1 and lvl5.
I've specialized myself in sturdy rare cards (High upgrade requirements) mixed with regenerative skills but still find myself struggling against low cost common cards decks that took half the time and efforts i invested to upgrade. i think thats the real plague, those damn common cards that surpass any rare, epic and legendary cards since they are so easy to upgrade

2 day of all wins and now cheat update to 2.5. Today only extraspawner, not a phone destroyed.
You also give free bucks to youtubers... same shame as always.
How much of a disadvantage can we have against all those cheaters and all those super youtube players?
