Does starter only reward you with a maximum of 50 gold per win?

The only difference between the Starter Edition and the standard edition is the the number of playable/customizable heroes and the unlocking system for non-playable/non-customizable heroes. Steel gain is the same as the Standard Edition and will vary based on the gamemode you choose to play.

Why do I only get 50 steel per win then?

Sorry for bumping this post, I just want an answer. My friend told me he gets 300 steel on wins, so it made me wonder why I'm only getting 50 on me

You get 50 steel from each Dominion match which is the highest steel per match you can get. Your friend either completed 2 orders and got 150 steel from each or their character levelled up which gives you something like 300 steel per level up.

Your friend would be incorrect then. I don't have the exact numbers in front of me, but 50 Steel sounds correct, assuming you win a game of Dominion. As I said before, the amount of steel you gain per game will vary depending on the gamemode you play. You can, however, earn additional steel by completing your orders or contract orders in-game.
