Me and i expect many others would be interested in having the ability to create maps even better whether its story related or just the overall map experience so i'd thought i would put together a list of things which would help improve the experience.
- invisible collision barriers (various sizes) to help prevent people accessing areas they shouldn't be in whether its a linear map or just a little room.
- door keys and locks for gates would be ideal if you can find specific key cards in order to progress
- triggers for actions (for example when you walk into a room and you touch an invisible non-colliding wall it will spawn/move/play ai animations or even spawn/move models.
- model triggered actions (like above) but can follow a pathnode path (like a moving unmaned car)
- more filters/vision files would be great or even a colour shader slider in the options for RGB tint
- ability to place notes and write custom text using the consoles keypad input box
-objective points which have printed custom text on screen to make more of a storyline
- more terrain and paint layers
- model name search option? Easier to locate by word
- pose manipulator for ragdoll ai? So we can adjust the joints to say sit a guy down
- more objective related models
- ambient/SFX node (model that plays oneshot/loop stock sound in given area, like fire burning)
- More FX if available?
- Object to disable mantle in certain places rather than using another model to stop them getting up there
- a better playable area system, if theres an area in the center of the map you dont want people to go there should be something to stop that like a kill collision model.
- model scaler would be handy too
Thats all i have so far but will update the thread when i find more limitations. I know not all these can be addresses but one ones which could it would be amazing to have more control over the editor and let people be even more creative.
