    Discussion About Feats; Two Ideas

    I know there's already twenty threads about this, but I have two different ideas that I think are worth discussing and then being presented to Ubisoft. Like many others, I believe that something should be done about Feats, but at the same time I don't really mind them as they are now, either. I've not actually had a problem with them this entire time, and if they never change I won't even actually notice.

    That said, I'd like to contribute to the community if at all possible, so here it goes:

    1. Pick-Ups. Not exactly a new idea, but I feel it's worth discussing again. Plus, I have a slight twist that could be even more appealing.

    The individual Feats, levels 1 through 4, are placed amongst the map, 4 of the first level, 3 of the second, two of the third, and only 1 of the fourth... per TEAM. Each team will have a chance to collect their feats, but only three players will be able to get the level two feat, two players the level three feat, and just one player the level four feat.

    These pick-ups will not respawn, but rather the feats only refresh after time just how they currently do. That's right, only one hero per team gets the level four feat. That way it is more of a strategy game of what hero gets what, and the opposite has to guess and be prepared until the reveal/usage.

    2. Losing Team gets Feat

    I am sure that many are going to groan at this suggestion, but it makes a hell of a lot of sense to me. Why does the team that is doing better, the players that are winning, get abilities to make it so they win even faster? That's not a competition, it's torture (on the minimalist of levels). The players who keep getting kills obviously don't need as much help.

    Therefore, I propose that the players who get killed receive more renown, allowing them access to their feats at a quicker rate. Now, this isn't to say that the slaughtering team can't also earn them, it would just be a balanced rate so that more often than not the dying players would get them first. Best example of comparison would be the blue shell given frequently to the last place driver in Mario kart.


    I could write more, but I'd rather have the discussion start before presenting further facets. Let me know what you think!

    I somewhat feel the same way. I've never had a problem with them, and only really taken notice since everyone started complaining this season.

    That said, to ignore that they have problems and consider them fine as they are now does feel a bit blinded to the issue.

    I'd rather discuss it then not.

    You asked what people think and that's what i think. I think the issue with everyone complaining about feats is the community thinks there is an issue where there isn't one.

    Could some feats use a little down tuning? Maybe. I don't believe it's necessary, but we can talk about that after the patch drops and we see what feat changes they made.

    As for the current renown gain/feat unlock system, why should it be changed? You're proposing a fix, why do you think it needs fixing?

    We've definitely seen the amount of threads devoted to the concerns regarding feats and I thank you for sharing your suggestions with myself and the community, HazelrahFirefly. I'll certainly look to pass them along.

    Bit aggressive, aren't you? Did you actually read either of my posts?

    I don't personally think they need changing. Much like the devs, it's not on my radar or a high priority. I respect the opinion that they should remain the same, but I'm looking to have conversations about changes that may inevitably happen.

    Many people think they DO need changing. In light of that, I have two propositions that I hope others will read over. I gave them quite a bit of thought and believe they would make for fun and more strategically interesting Dominions then we currently have.

    I wasn't trying to be aggressive at all. Tone on the internet, ya know? It's tough.

    What i was trying to do, was get the reasons people want them changed in to the conversation. Like you, i don't see an issue. I was so positive my first comment that just kind of brushes the problem off would immediately get a page long response of every reason people think they're broken currently.

    So, i could have done that differently. My bad.

    Ahhh! Then it was a good try.

    For some reason no one else is coming to this thread (probably because they don't respect my opinion or ideas based on something trivial like my difficulty battling Aramusha).
