I went over two years in this game without ever so much as seeing a Midas...then tonight, I got one on an LZ boss run, and, not ten minutes later, ANOTHER one as a bonus item from a proficiency cache. lol...hookayyy....
Anyway, I'm reading the description for its talent, and the way it's worded is a little confusing to me:
So, I'm assuming that means damage dealt is reduced? Or damage taken? Why would I want to reduce my own damage output? Or should it be "each bullet you ARE hit with...", which could be interesting, in which case meaning the more you're hit, the less damage your enemy deals (but also the less damage you deal too, I guess?)Each bullet you hit with reduces your damage by 1% and your target's damage by 1% to a max of 20%. The effect is reduced by 5% per second.
And "max of 20%"...assuming we're talking about damage dealt, does that mean, at maximum effect, both yours and your enemy's damage output will be 80% of its norm? Or 20%?
Then the effect is reduced by 5% every second...this thing has such a low rate of fire (550) that it seems like the effect would fade out more quickly and more often than I'd be able to build it.
So I guess, in all, like the title of the thread...am I missing something? Is this thing actually any good, and I just don't see it? I don't know, I think maybe I just need some sleep...lol
So does that mean I'd be reducing the damage that the enemy deals to everyone in my group? Or just the damage he deals to me?Originally Posted by Zimbo78 Go to original post
Hmm ok, thanks guys. Sounds like it's not really anything I'll have a use for. I remember waaay back in the day shortly after launch, people were making a big deal out of this gun (apparently there was some exploit with it?), but I'm assuming its stats/bonuses have changed a lot since then?
No matter, I guess. It is what it is now. One to keep for the collection, and off to the scrap heap for the rest.
IF i ever get killed by a Midas im going to retire my agent.Originally Posted by CJ Fresh Go to original post![]()
