Fix Classified Drops Please (Why Give Higher Drops on Legendary Difficulty?)

Now I know we just got a new patch, and oh boy how great it is to have higher drop rates on Legendary missions and such, but let me pose a question.

If Legendary is the end-all be all of difficulties, and you probably need a good/classified gear set-up to run these in order to get through them, plus a cohesive team, plus experience, etc. why give the people who already have the gear they need...more chances to get gear that they already have?

I'm being completely honest here. I mean, even in Diablo 3, PoE, Grim Dawn, etc. you have a decent chance to get gear you need. You work your way up through the difficulties, getting a drop here, a drop there, and sometimes you hit a plateau and you grind there for a bit, but you balance the difficulty with the run speed. I'm a returning player back when these classified gear sets didn't even exist, and the vector was king. Now, I have gotten over thousands of set gear drops, tried farming DZ, Resistance, Underground, and I have gotten classifieds, don't get me wrong, but only have gotten 1 classified I want (Predator). I've been running with a group of three friends, and none of us have gotten any to trade with each other, besides that 1 classified that my friend traded me.

It seems to me that the drop rates of classified gear sets are extremely difficult to obtain to those who can't reach the end-game content, besides waiting for the next GE to drop.. However, I cannot get to the end-game content, without a full set, excluding the problems of team cohesion.

So...why not increase the chances of getting classified set gear across the board for all game mode? As of right now, the DZ is still the best place to farm unless you have a solid nomad set for solo resistance (again classifieds) and the DZ is still a PVP environment. I love doing Underground missions, but what is the point if there is no progression in it?

I'm not saying give the gear away. I grinded away a full set of Crusader Ancient Golden Fleece set up for Diablo 3 and that took a good amount of time, and I enjoyed that time grinding away, but when you cannot smoothly grind for gear, it becomes a slog.

When you have 3 other game modes that have no point to them because they don't drop anything, that means you have a broken game with little incentive to run anything besides one form of content in what would be otherwise a diverse game.

Classifieds are not required for legendary. Trust me

    They make it easier. Sure.

I totally understand that, but Legendary runs aren't really my cup of tea. What I'm really saying is, why are there other game modes when there's only a few that give much better chances at drop rates?

Non- classified Tactician, with either barrets, relentless backpack, 2 hours on Youtube looking at guides and you can solo any of the legendary missions in the game... assuming you don't completely suck at the game. Non- classified Striker or D3 and you can farm resistance caches for average 2-3 Classys per run. If you are pinched for time or new just clear open world bosses. A full clear usually nets at least 1 classy for 25 min, and you can do this on all four character slots.

As a single player this post is spot on. Completely pointless to reward those who have been there, done it and bought the tee-shirt with the best gear they already have and are probably destructing .Now I'll get the risk reward argument so why not give high gear score players some exclusive mask or clothing. New update has improved things but still an ill thought out drop rate and way of dropping. We don't all want to run 4 toons on an endless boss run then swap its a bit cheesey.
And challenging and legendary is not easy with non classified, most long term players need to remember that most advice quotes using gear or weapons we may never have seen and remember even if you start from scratch again you have still experience that new players to the game won't have.

    Rewards aren't higher.

I've done 3 of the Legendary Missions now, and all I've gotten from them were Exotics, 2 of which I already had.

Time vs Reward has turned me off of Legendary missions.

I will be doing UG. I can run 2 5 directive 10 hunter runs quicker and have the same odds...
