Most days i do the following:
- 2-3 times LZ bosses
- 5 x UG on challenge mode with 3 x phases with 3 x directives
Pre 1.8.1 i used to get atleast 1-2 classys a day
Since launch of 1.8.1 i have had just one drop of classy (predators chest)
Exotics seem to drop more often but classys seemed to have decreased quite a lot.
I don't know if it is just Xbox platform as i have read some other posts somewhere about Xbox platform having the same problem
Anyone else having this problem on XB1?
I can't really say that I've noticed much of a difference one way or the other in terms of quantity, regarding either classifieds or exotics. Then again, I haven't been playing as much as I used to, so my sample size is pretty low.
I got a Big Al from an LZ boss yesterday, so that was a nice change from the usual Triad of Garbage that they used to be limited to. That's really the biggest change I've noticed, tbh...the changes to the loot pool. The changes to the drop chances...like I said, too small of a sample so far to really make a perceptible difference.
*edit* Just to put some (fairly meaningless) numbers on it...I'm on XB1 as well, and have played maybe 10 hours give or take, since the update. I've done almost exclusively LZ boss runs and UG (daily missions and the occasional custom mission), and between drops and the various earned caches, I've gotten at least 3 or 4 classified pieces that I can recall, and I'd say roughly the same number of exotics. For whatever that's worth.

The problem with the random, uncontrolled drop rates they've implemented is that some people get everything in the first week and others will never get what they want. Pseudo-RNG at its finest.
On the plus side, I got an Urban MDR, which is only the second one I've seen in two years!
On the negative side, I've only got 2 parts of the Nomad set I'm trying to get on PS4. I keep getting Alphabridge for some reason. It's a shame we can't tell the Pseudo-RNG system what we actually want![]()
Honestly, my RNG has always been rubbish on XB1. I have had 3 classified pieces and around the same in exotics. Picked a nomad piece up yesterday in the DZ and before that I secured a supply drop in the LZ and finished my striker set with backpack. The other day I got a predator chest which I gave to my son. PS4 however, did a full lz boss run (first time since the update) and it definitely rained. Had exactly the same as what I have had on the Xbox in 1 night. All very low GS 2 tactician and one sentry. Exotics was a Thompson, mask & holster. In the DZ, I have seen nothing even worth extracting and same in the UG, only worth the materials/credits/div tech. Not done a full boss run on XB1 however, we have been trying to help a solo player progress in a few areas. Might jump on this afternoon after the daily grind, before kids get home from school if I'm back in time and try the bosses on XB1
I have seen a marked increase in purples?! Even a hunter dropped a sneaky purple the other night.
Well it looks like it ain't just me, Exotics seem to be dropping a lot more (don't really need them) but classys seem more rarer for me since 1.8.1.
Also very dissapointed that weekly HVT's still do not drop classys even though Ubi said 1.8.1 will bring classys throughout the whole game, even HVT's.
As it stands right now i just do weekly HVT's for the parts and bird bucks.
Maybe they forgot to increase the loot chance for classys but didn't forget for exotics
For deffo i am seeing less classys since 1.8.1....1000%.....and for deffo seeing more exotics since 1.8.1....1000%
I think the OP is spot on and it is my experience that despite promises, promises, Ubisoft keep them don't they, the chance for exotics has risen but the Classified pieces return has dropped from LZ bosses despite a supposed doubling of the drop chance ratio from 3% to 6%, I have felt the reality return has dropped slightly on some runs and overall.
Still not as bad as a run that I posted on here about, where in 390 events, 26 complete rounds of all 15 bosses, saw only 3 classified pieces returned at a ratio of 0.77%.
After my post the rates actually picked up, but I feel they have declined slightly again since 1.8.1 dropped.
However for me, on an overall basis I am very favoured by the RNG fairy / Grinch, same entity, just split personality, as I now need only 4 pieces to complete and entire set. I have multiples of Striker, one vest away from 3 sets, 2 Nomad sets, missing 2 pieces from a 3rd Nomad set, 2 Banshee, 2 Reclaimer, singles of the rest, the pieces I need are 2 Final Measure and same for Dead Eye.
Today running Div Tech and the DZ UG loot box at the back drops me the missing piece for my Sentry Call set out of the blue, had to check it twice, yes it is a Classified piece of Sentry Call and yes it is a pair of gloves and they were a good level.
An agent donated me a Classified piece of Alpha Bridge knee pads, just left sitting on the roadway, was not even looking at them as I was sure they would be Gear set but as I passed and saw the white tag, I did a double take and then checked the sheet to see that it was the final piece for my Alpha Bridge CS set.
Really hope in later updates and definitely in Division 2 they have a fairer system than the crap RNG set up we have where some get heaps and others can not find a cracker.
