    I've been working on an assault map with 24 wave 1 Ai. I'd like to spawn a helicopter at some point. I've placed the helicopter and 2 wave 2 Ai out of sight behind a building. I'm using a Security Aviator Defender and an Attacker for my wave 2 standing right beside the helicopter. I've played around with the spawn rule and also plugged away at wave 1 until only 1 was left. Wave 2 never spawns. Any thoughts?

    If wave 2 truly is not spawning then it sounds like you are in Explorer mode.

    If you're not in Explorer mode, are you really sure they are not spawning and not just wandering off because they are not linked to a control zone?''

    Also if you want two AI to spawn together to fly in your helicopter, you cannot start with 24 AI in wave 1.

    Wave 2 will not start until there are less then 13 AI on the map.
    From that point on there will never be more than 13 AI alive on the map at one time.

    So to get what you describe you need to start with 11 AI in Wave 1 - AND - Those 2 flying AI should be the first two AI you place on the map for Wave 2.
    Wave AI spawn in the order they are placed on the map.

    If you start with more than 11, when Wave 2 starts only one AI will spawn and fly away leaving the second stranded.

    No. I'm in play mode. I realize that they won't spawn while all of my original 24 are still alive but shouldn't they spawn as I pick off the wave 1 Ai? I can take it down to 1 remaining wave 1 and still nothing. I have the 2 wave 2 Ai fenced in so they can't wander away and they're in a place I can run to and check from time to time... and they are bound to a control zone in my main map area. They are currently my only wave 2 Ai and never spawn. I thought I understood the info in the previous posts but maybe I'm just not getting it.

    Can you actually see that the AI did not spawn in, or are you expecting a helicopter to show up?
    Did you set the wave2 parameter in AI Management to spawn on Trigger "1 dead"? And the Cooldown to a low value?

    I put the wave 2 Ai in a place within the map boundary and outside... not sure if that matters. I've tried all the spawn rules for wave 2. I can actually go to a point where I can see that they did not spawn at all. What would you recommend for a Cool down value? The only thing I haven't tried yet is dropping my wave 1 Ai down but my understanding is that that shouldn't matter... only the total Ai visible or even still alive at the point I would expect wave 2 to spawn.

    What platform are you on? It'd be a lot easier to look at the file.

    I assume this is not an Outpost level that you are working on?

    When you Start the game does it say "ENEMIES KILLED: 0/26" in the corner?

    After you kill all Wave 1 does it say "ENEMIES KILLED: 24/26"?
    But game won't end because you can't find last two?

    Have you tried going into the Game Modifier and temporarily turning on "Highlight NPC"?

    I'm on PC. The map is an assault map. I'll publish it the next time I'm on and let you know. It never says anything other than 24... no matter how I mess around with Ai waves. [EDIT] Just thinking... I had at one point installed am editor mod that added a ton of assets. After a while (before I started this map) the mod went bad but left remains and assets. Any chance I'm using assets that are out of scope? [EDIT AGAIN] And yes I've tried highlighting NPCs... no wave 2 show up.

    If you say there are 24 in Wave One and 2 in Wave Two it should say ENEMIES KILLED: 0/26 not 24
    If it is an Assault map and it only says ENEMIES KILLED: 0/24 then the game doesn't even think there's a Wave 2.
    The only time I have ever seen anything like that is on Outpost maps where you only see the number of Wave One displayed until the alarm gets triggered, then you see the total number of AI

    Please publish it so it can be downloaded and looked at.

    Ok, sounds good. Btw, there's nothing wrong with making a copy of your map to use to troubleshoot and not be afraid of losing anything. I also make lots of quick test maps to prove out things. In my 'user maps' folder there's close to 400 maps, 90% of them only tests.
