Again, I know my english is sub par but in your haste of accusing me or excsing those at UBI, you stuck your foot in your mouth yet again. I suggest you go back and tell me exactly where did I accussed the devs of NOT playing tier mode 1?Originally Posted by AI BLUEFOX Go to original post
And again, here you go again thinking that I write this so you believe me or that I care whether you validate my opinion when in reality I couldn't care less. But it does goes to show that you care for mine because you quote me at every turn... that is funny.Originally Posted by AI BLUEFOX Go to original post
In keeping with the above I stopped reading after this so... yeah, sorry.
I generally like the challenge of tier mode but it is really a little too ridiculous sometimes (I'm around tier 20 atm). At times it is like playing against cheaters with wallhacks and aimbots.
The Sam Fisher mission is a good example. It is ridiculous how you get killed inside that building while trying to protect Sam. You have Unidad one-shot killing you from the hip while they are running when they are not even fully in sight (like when they're barely up the stairs or shooting blind from behind cover). You sometimes literally have no chance at all to even react. You're dead before you even see the enemy or hear the shots.
The older Rainbow Six and Ghost Recon games also had one-shot kills/deaths but -to me- felt more fairly balanced because you always knew exactly WHY you died (e.g. overlooked an enemy, reacted too late etc.). In Wildlands it is not so obvious lots of times and you are not always given a fair chance when the enemy kills you with seemingly not even a line of sight on you.
Your English is fine, it's your comprehension that is an issue here. Nowhere did I say you accused the Devs of NOT playing Tier 1. I said you accused them of not playing it ENOUGH, as in ".. tons and tons... end sarcasm", which is clearly a bit hypocritical when you haven't played it at all.Originally Posted by GiveMeTactical Go to original post
I think it is worth pointing out to new forum members that your views are based, according to your posts, on only having played the game a limited amount "at your friend's house" because you refuse to buy the game. I do hope you took advantage of the free weekend, though, so you can contribute your ideas from a more knowledgable stand point.
Blue... you are a true politician!!! Never answering the question and keeping with your agenda. Again, before the Mods & CMs lock the thread I am out
I am not here for the new or old member, if someone needs help and I can do so I will lend a hand, if not, so be it... I am mostly here to remind UBI (not you or your followers) that they should be doing a better job.
It must pain you that I don't need 997 hours of gameplay to see where the game lacks... it eats you alive doesn't itIn the end, we both want the same... a better game so don't fret.
Sorry, but that is a extremely limited view on what tactics should work. Honestly Tier 1 isn't an Elite level, starting with the fact that you can get their by pure grind and no skill what so ever - especially using drones, rebels and syncshots which are all completely independent to the player's skill level. Also the tactis that work best on Tier one are also those requiring the least amount of skill - sniping from distance preventing alarms and using 1-hit stealth kills.Originally Posted by Frag_Maniac Go to original post
All Tier 1 does is to force players to use cheese tactics at the fringe of what the AI can handle. I am certain I died far less in the lower Tier levels than at the highers, not because I used great tactics, but simply because I was exploiting the system - keeping them at 300m, sniping, disengaging from combat quite early. Never the less at the final Tier levels I was winning even gunfights with re-enforcements charging me. But this was neither fun nor superior tactics at work. Enemies were turned to superhumans, so you limit yourself to their blind spots that the AI can't handle, killing off any freedom Wildlands offered.
Tier 1 by no means a quality standard, it just shows how much players were willing to endure.
....if I had to sum it up, Tier One messed with the formula that made the core game so enjoyable for myself and my friends. IMO, it was good concept in a general sense but the execution was all wrong.
Making something more challenging doesn't necessarily make it more enjoyable. ....nor does mastering it.
Yeah I agree. What they needed to do was what has been requested from the get go, especially if they want to sell the new cosmetics and gear packs, and that is newgame+ or something similar. No one in their right mind is going to buy the cosmetics items and gear at the price they are asking without content to use it in. But perhaps I am wrong and everyone will.Originally Posted by Kean_1 Go to original post
