i agree there needs to be a way to still have enemies to fight after liberating a region or completing the main quest. give us the option to turn enemies on or off after completion. and maybe even the level of enemies we face. ie: you could choose level 2 resistance type enemies where there aren't any "Chosen" planes constantly hunting you down. or you could max it to level 3 and be constantly under fire from enemies and planes, etc. just give us options. i don't think new game plus would actually fix anything, since enemies will still dissapear again after completing the main story. just by roaming around i've managed to build up enough resistance points by killing vips, blowing up trucks, freeing citizens, etc to where i'm almost level 4 resistance in all 3 regions. and i haven't completed hardly any of the side quests. i was gonna save those for later. but now i read it auto completes those side quests after liberating a region which is a big issue for me. and outpost master is ok but instead we should get a choice on which ones to liberate again instead of having to do every single one over again. with no enemies roaming the game after completing makes the game VERY pointless and boring. and makes the live events challenges way harder than it should be. i love Far Cry 5 and want to keep playing, but what's the point if there are no enemies to use all of these cool guns and live event items on?
This is like beating a dead horse at this point. The only response anyone ever gets regarding this topic is "we currently have no plans for this" or "thanks for the feedback, keep it coming", or something along those lines. The game obviously has a problem when you finish the game with a lack of enemies roaming around and I based this off of my personal experience and the overwhelming responses on the forums. Sure the game has some bugs but what game doesn't especially a few weeks after launch? But to exclude a staple of the Far Cry series by not making the map hostile with enemies when you reset the outposts? I agree that a NG+ option may not solve the problem but then again I'd like to see the Silos, Wolf Beacons, and Shrines reset. It was fun finding blowing those up. What was the point of unlocking all of the perks and guns if there is nothing to use them on? Since I played Far Cry 5 I've been on a Far Cry kick so I've been playing Far Cry 4 for a few days now. It makes you really realize how much 5 is missing the patrols roaming around the world even more.Originally Posted by brad9284 Go to original post
clearly this IS the issue, so what else is there to keep an eye on?Originally Posted by Ubi-CJ Go to original post
essentially you have a sandbox game that empties out the longer you play. ubi monty made this oversight 6 yrs ago with fc3, which they then added an outpost reset--which at the time was the governing system for spawning enemy encounters. they've now made the same mistake twice, and you think people are simply voicing their concerns because it would make for an "improvement?"
bro, c'mon
EDIT: how complex is this resistance meter "system" anyway? we're not given any dynamic choices along the way. everything we do in a region progresses the meter, where at certain points we are completely HIJACKED from playing the game freely, to being force to take care of these very linear, scripted sequences of gameplay. the end result being and empty region, and really NO choice for it. but hey, cool story...
AND fishing!
It will take ALOT of patches can truly address the real issues and it's main problem.
The problem being that the past games did it all better.
First is the story and characters which are as amateur and incoherent as you can get. The story goes nowhere and says nothing.... a waste especially given how much Ubisoft played on it pre release.
Second is the games structure. A resistance meter that dictates what you can do within a short amount of time before it fills up. Then forcing the story onto you.
Soon enough you are left with a barren world and nothing to do in it.
Third... the short weapon list, removal of knives, knife takedowns, vehicle takedowns, grenade takedowns and so on leave you with no imaginative way to approach the combat and be creative.
And lastly... The overall dumb ai, janky animations and glitches leave the whole thing feeling unfinished and pointless.
Reminds me of another game, can't remember what it was called. Ah yes, I think it is called The Division (snicker, snicker) and when you get to end game, you are left with this wonderful open world called the Light Zone almost completely deserted and a handful of missions to repeat ad nausium. Players have been asking for a reset of the pre end game content amongst other content requests for over two years until now the game is in more or less in maintenance mode, waiting on the launch of a sequel, so I am not holding my breath with this one.
