One thing that has become extremely annoying are the places where requested vehicles get dropped. I can understand if, by design, I don't get the requested vehicle right next to me as if I had just asked for an uber car. But not only they are being droppped very far from where I requested it, sometimes I get a chopper inside enemy base or a car on the other side of a river I'm next to and on top of rocks, on which the car won't even move from. Is not like getting the vehicle dropped at random locations adds "realism" anyway, so can you please fix it?
Is it very annoying at times, yes, is it a problem most of the time, only if you don't look at the mini map right after ordering one to know what direction to head. Even if you get familiar enough with it to know where to expect them to drop, there are still times the drop spots and vehicle position are absurd. Make sure you don't order one while in or near a lab for instance. I once had back to back drops where one spawned inside a building that it barely fit in, then right behind me upside down.

I've said in the past, whenever this complaint gets rehashed, is that we to be able to place the vehicle drops, just like when you call for mortars and distraction. A perfect example of how this would help reduce frustration, was wile I was playing the Sam Fisher mission. After I failed on the infiltration part of the mission a few times, I thought I would try parachuting in. But when I tried to call a helo drop, instead of dropping it in the wide open field were I was standing, thy dropped it smack dab in the middle of the base, surrounded by enemy.patrols. Completely useless
Yeah that used to be one of my biggest exfil pet peeves. Now I just make sure I walk far enough away from a base that it won't spawn there. Realistically you'd not want to heli away from a covert base raid if having left some or most of them alive anyway.Originally Posted by Megalodon26 Go to original post
I do know what you mean by the heli spawns being ridiculous though. I'd also say the unpredictable and time consuming spawn locations are what often causes me to fast travel instead. I could definitely see how those playing on a harder, more realistic style with no fast travel would be greatly annoyed by this.
