Very good, so naturally I WANT MORE !!!

    Hello there !

I wanted to post a big thank you for this nice level editor in which I really enjoy making maps. This reminds me of the old Worldcraft 3.7 under Half Life and the time I used to create levels for that old game. I kinda lost my mojo along the way with all the other games but I definately got it back ! So I had some suggestions/questions for the future of the ArcadeED...

    1. Will there be new editing tools coming in the future ?
For example, I'm kind of frustrated that you can't do a scattering of selected plants and rocks and things like that. The only way of doing it is to manually place one object at the time if you want to create rich forest scenes. So it would be cool to fill, say, a grass-only-meadow into a field of a mix of bushes, grass and small rocks, in a single brush pass. I noticed there are some preset groups of trees-flowers, tree-bushes, grass-bushes, but it would have been nice if we could add our own selection of objects (limited in number of objects per groups).
Or maybe a terrain generator for the players that are not very good at sculpting landscapes, Or a few physic tools (ropes, springs, wind, soft bodies... etc etc) to create elaborate traps !

    2. Could we have more that 4 layers of texture for the terrain ?
It is enough for small scales areas, but this game gives you the possibility of making huge levels. And I thought it would have been nice to have at least 6 to 8 layers of terrain texture that we could eventually organize at will (just like Photoshop)

    3. Actually... could we have layers-based features added in the future ?
I work with Photoshop, InDesign or Illustrator every day, and the layer-based method of those software are very good to create visuals and models. So it could be a natural tool in a modern level editor... And if I'm not mistaken, wasn't there a feature like that in the first far cry editor ? And maybe in the second *** well ?

    4. Concerning the assets, will there be ones from other Ubisoft licences ?
I think I already know the answer, but I prefer to ask. I think that they might add assets from Assassins Creed Origins, Ghost Recon Wildlands, Rayman maybe... with all the future updates they've planned but I wanted to know exactly what we will never have as assets. They could even put some objects from the upcoming hits, why not ?

    5. Last question is about the difficulties the players have to play on their maps in Arcade.
Will this feature will be improved ?

Thanks for your answers and for your good work

    Oh and...

    6. Will there be a trigger tool ?
So we can trigger events and give a little scripted touch to our levels...

    Great suggestions !

Layers, triggers, frozen and hidden object, snap to grid, trackviewing, visareas and portals, prefabs, soundspots and so on... of course there are still missing stuff, but i won't complain that much, the editor is still an awesome tool to work with and glad that Ubi is still providing that feature game after game.

But hey, they can still improve their stuff !

snap to grid is already a option, there are even 2 or 3 different ones concerning this item.
