So I have been playing For Honor for a year, and my experience thus far is this. Any arguments welcome, just stating what my experience is after the most recent patches and character reworks.
Characters that were previously high potential are still in a good spot. Characters being like Peacekeeper, Shaman, Centurion.
But I've found that running on 30 FPS, with the small amount of latency that is ever present, many attacks are simply unparry-able if you have not pressed the Right Trigger before the animation starts/the attack indicator appears. The moves that I've noticed are as follows:
Berserker Soft Feint Light
Kensei Soft Feint lights (And regular lights, if latency is not in supreme condition)
Kensei Zone Attack first strike
Peacekeeper Zone Attack
Orochi Zone Attack
Highlander Hilt Strikes
To name the few off the top of my head. I realize that for some attacks, it makes sense/is required by balance, however I've noticed For Honor is a game balanced around good connection and 60 frames per second! This means that for someone on an Xbox One, the attack is registered at regular speed, but what the player sees is far too fast for the input from RT to register in time to parry.
I main Peacekeeper and depend mostly on dodges and parries, but against the attacks listed above, parries are simply out of the question. For example, on a kensei who primarily light attacks and soft feints I can either A) Bank on him doing the attack again and preemptively press rt in hopes of a parry, which if they perform any other attack will result in a hit for him or B) Dodge/deflect attempt. If he feints at this point, it's again a negative reaction for me. Alternately, C) preemptively attack and hope that the guessing game is in my favor.
Obviously it's not entirely a guessing game, there's skill involved and I am aware of all the factors that go into being a good player on the game, however with the attacks listed above, I'm definitely feeling how much the 30fps hurts compared to 60fps.
Sorry for the text wall, would like to know if anyone else is experiencing the same issue. This is my all time favorite game and I have been reduced to not even wanting to play since most of what I come across is berserker and kensei, primarily using soft feints and it resulting in me being unable to actively fight and react to my opponent.
Thanks in advance.

Yes with 30fps some attacks are just impossible to anticipate.. the one you said are so fast the best you can do is keeping your guard as most as possible on the side where the attack is coming.
But really i think this is better in this way.. really when i look at video whith guys playing on PC.. in my Opinion it is really too slow to develop real good skills.. i truly believe many of the best PC youtubers gonna get crush by high level PS4 ppl in general .
Byt this is only my POV ^^
I saw this idea posted in another thread and peeked my curiosity enough to redownload the game on PC and give it a try. The console I felt in multi opponent fight I lost a lot of animations with moves and would biff the timing on a lot of things that I was sure I had that led to a lot of aggravating deaths. Enough for me to walk away from the game for almost good. If I had run into a player that was stupid good at fainting forget being able to do anything about it. The 60 FPS does seem to make a difference. On console even trash shinobi players could light spam me to death, tho PC I could see his in coming attacks and actually block the and dodge out of the way. This needs to be something the developers needs to look into it might just help end a lot of the gripe I have with the games on the console and a lot of players as well. In the future it might help balance character a lot better for console.
