No but it would make sense. Apart from PC with consoles. That would be a little unfair on the consoles.
However seeing how many people cheat and use Cronus because they cant be good without it. It shouldnt make a difference if they cross format with Xbox and PS4.
Also it would actually be nice to see different people in the servers. I am constantly put in the exact same Australian servers every single time. Same people, same rogues, same battles, same manhunts. Apparently there are only 15 people playing TD1 in Australia. Its getting extreeeeeeeeeeeeemely boring.
Xbox/PS4 is not going to happen with any game, let alone this one. Sony won't let it.
PC crossplay with consoles may be technically possible, but 1) devs are not going to add something like that at this late point in the game's life, and 2) I don't think anybody on console really is asking for cheaters and hackers on top of the cronus users they already have to contend with.
Word has been Microsoft has been pushing for this for a while. Sony has been resistant, which who could blame them cause it would be a boost to Microsoft and hurt Sony unless they change their target audience.Originally Posted by Yankee_LT Go to original post
Is that right. I haven't really looked at cross platform recently but Sony used to be huge supporters of cross format gaming. With things like Final Fantasy 14, Rocket League, Warframe, DC Universe, Portal 2, and a good few others out there.Originally Posted by YodaMan 3D Go to original post
It was Xbox that was always hesitant because of the mandatory requirement for gold membership to play online or something like that. Which is or at least was more optional for sony. It was up to developers whether you needed ps plus to play online or not...
But to be honest it's been a while since I ever looked into it. Most of my friends are on ps4 these days so it's not been a huge issue..
