A lot of people myself included seem to find getting swamped by enemy heroes frustrating and not very fun, while this is always going to happen (some teams just roll in packs of 4 at all times) maybe we can have some incentives to let heroes fight it out before the back stab begins. This is just and idea and it would be great to see what other people think or add, but what if you had an honor level in the game, the more you have you could get shorter re-spawn times (not executed) more gold and soldiers at the end of the match etc maybe equipment, and it would work something like
- if two warriors are squaring off there is an invisible circle of sorts, if you let them fight and then step in for your turn, boom you get honor, though if you jump in for the gang bang your honor level goes down the more in the circle the more that can fight, 1v1, 2v2 etc but not 2v1, 3v1.
the less honor you have, you get longer re-spawn times and less rewards, this would provide an incentive to help fair fights and would break up packs that roll in groups as if you killed one the longer re-spawn would help thin the heard so they couldnt group up as much.

I really like the idea. Problem is, most players in For Honor and other PvP games only care about a couple things: winning and bragging about the win. Gang tactics allow even the weakest skill player to gloat that he took out a guy with much higher skill. This is before you take into account all of the tricks (traps, bombs, ranged weapons) that completely undermine the advanced combat system. These players (I'd say 90% or more) are not going to care about the rewards of an Honor score that you have mentioned. It unfortunate, but sadly true. There isn't much honor in For Honor as far as I can tell.

Honor, haha.
Yesterday I had Dominion match, casual as always. But I, specificly, always hope for a fair fights. So I stand in the zone, two people shown up, Shinobi and Bers. Shinobi came first, stand and made his respect greeting emote, I made mine on LB and than Bers just attack from the side. I were ready for it, nothing special, but than I see Shinobi walk away, and I think "Ok, honorable on" and start my fight with Bers. But when I almost crush him, I got distance GB from guess who? And with his long compos and Bers spaming zone they kill me.
This move are even worse, than gunks. I mean, I were ready to fight them both, and probably would win this fight. But Shinobi played like rat.
It's all you should know about honor in this game.
