No such luck. It used to be fun in PvP against glass cannons with no resistance, but now it is no more damaging than blowing cigarette smoke.Originally Posted by Demiz3r Go to original post
It's "fun" in PvE but still a lackluster the NPC "kick" the turret or rush through the fire as it was slight rain.
Then it involve being stationnary, because... turret. The fire from bullet proc' chances are too low, require you to shoot (i.e. be a target) with a high rof weapon but you don't have any sort of self healing, and if you try to unlock weapon talent with a 4.8k FA / 8k ELEC you don't get the full benefit from the 6x.
The fire damage increase push you to use airburst because you can't rely on incendiary grenade (they don't restock).
The whole set feels like a missed opportunity. Add "unlimited" grenades, and a self healing from the 6x (Something like healing from burning target), make smart cover cooldown start upon casting the spell and I'll be a happy firecrest user (without a support station).
Turret is the weakpoint. If it get destroyed you need more time to redeploy a new one that the tact turret. And you remain with no protection.
I run 5 pieces + Resourceful backpak. Turret and Overdose. 4 mods turret damage.
If I stick around a Reclaimer, mobs have an hard time to take it down. Otherwise I can always pop my overdose and bring myself and the turret back to full health.
Wow you guys complain too much. I've been having a lot of fun with the 6pc classified FC. The turrets have so much range which means you don't need to drop them close to the enemies which allows them to "tag" and stagger heavies before they could get to the turret. While they're staggered and burning I could unload a full 120rd magazine from my Big Al which spits out flame rounds like there's no tomorrow. I find that placement is very important if you want the best use of the turrets. Even if the turret is taken down by a heavy, I still got my flame rounds that light NPCs on fire and they explode fairly often. Also I'm using Wildfire talent which helps a lot. Also if you want healing then roll for health on kill. I'm not even using my fully optimized Nomad anymore. Currently alternating between D3-FNC and FC depending on the mission. Also playing around with Final Measure for those battles that have a lot of grenadiers. I need one more piece for a full 6pc Lone Star so that's going to be another fun build with two Big Als...![]()
So do you when you whine about others whining too much.Originally Posted by NEC Avenue Go to original post
I did that once, but at the time it was a bad backpack and took a loss on skill power. Maybe I should try it again.Originally Posted by TheFly76 Go to original post
I did try my FC lasts night on Amherst. Never really got a chance to see if it worked or not, cause if I popped my head up to shoot the NPCs would focus fire on me and take me out and when I through my turret out they would focus that as well. Last night they were having nothing to do with FC. I was constantly given the "Homey don't play that!" I will work on my strategy and placement of turret and see where that leaves me this weekend.
