Yea, as long as the Devs are adding new guns with the live events, How bout some that aren't just reskins? Maybe some FC 3 and 4 style signature weapons that actually have different stats or different functioning? I badly miss the explosive bullet AMR from 3 and 4, and shooting out the engine block of trucks, watching them catch the grass on fire as they roll to a stop.
Or hell, maybe some guns that make more sense for Midwestern America? Like a Ruger, one of the Smith and Wesson sporting rifles, or maybe even a post-2003 post-assault-weapons-ban Fabrique Nationale civilian-model assault rifle? It doesn't make a lick of sense for people in 2018 Montana to have the Czechoslovakian Skorpion sub-machine gun, especially since it's a horrible gun that they would have no reason to smuggle in, when there are plenty of just-as-cheap and easier to modify, while also better and more fun to use, civilian version sub machine style guns available here. It also makes very little sense for them to be using TEC-9s and MAC-10s since those are also terrible, and they are both badly out of date and aren't made anymore.
I know a lot of American gun collectors that have semi-automatic civilian mod AKMs, so that's a smart inclusion, but an actual honest-to-God AK47? No, definitly not. Maybe gang members on one of the coasts, but not in the Midwest, illegal fully automatic weapons in the mid-west are almost always modified from civ-mod versions and not proper mil-spec versions smuggled in from outside. Rocket launchers and LMGs I can see since those are outright illegal, so if you want them it will take some smuggling, but some doomsday prepper, separatist or militia member who wants an illegal fully automatic AKS-47 or 47SU would buy a civ-mod and modify it, and the civ mod versions look noticeably different. The cheap Chinese versions, which are the most common type owned in America, they look REALLY different.
Will someone please explain to me what exactly is it you people are looking for in the way of 'more guns'?
You have multiple pistols, melee weapons, rifles, machine guns, bazookas, sniper rifles, flame-throwers.
I really don't understand this 'there's not enough guns' complaint, I really don't. I sometimes wonder if you'd only stop wanting more if they included every gun that's ever been made, in the history of guns. I think what you're looking for needs to come as a 250gb DLC.

If you look at unique guns and discount reskins having same exact stats...ie 1911 basic is same as gold 1911, just one has nice paint job...then there are currently 37 weapons in the game not including throwing knives and explosives.....
Previous FC games have way more than this....and as comparison, there are 57 shirts in the game, about that many pants, a few less headware and gloves...

Be warned it IS long. Now the short story is cuz the previous games had MANY more guns and more fun guns at that with some awesome mechanics and abilities. There were a category of weapons that were special called signature weapons in the FC3 and 4 which were special reskin versions of existing guns with predetermined attachments so you couldn't customize them in any way HOWEVER they had over powered stats that basically made them super fun and very unrealistic. There were super OP machine guns with almost no recoil, SMGs with LMG sized mags, super fire rates, and no recoil. And a lot of other things including a harpoon gun. A DAMN HARPOON GUN. Even outside of signature weapons there were better less generic base weapons like the semi auto rapid fire crossbow. The weapons in this game are super generic and worst of all most of them are reskins of the same gun with the exact same stats and exact same attachments that. Example: The cannon was a signature weapon in past games and was an upgraded .44 magnum and held one extra bullet in the cylinder, had the second highest accuracy and damage in game for a pistol, lower spread than the regular magnum, and a scope. In this game, it's a reskin of the regular magnum. Has the exact same attachments too. And if I by a scope for the cannon it does the exact same thing as the same scope on the magnum. Worst of all is there are like 4 or 5 reskins of the magnum and like 5 of the 1911. There are 2 reskins of the flame thrower, 1 reskin of one of the bows, like at least 1 reskin of 3 assault rifles, same deal with at least 3 snipers, and 2 shotguns. SO if there really are 37 guns in game, at least half of them are just reskins. The gameplay is good but all the guns feel almost the same as others in the same category. If they are going to add more new weapons from old far cry games using live event, I'm ok with It.
I can just suggest to add: famas (from far cry 4), desert eagle (from far cry 4), Milkor MGL (m32- from far cry 2), terror 4000 (portable minigun- from far cry 3 blood dragon), g36(from far cry), p90 (from far cry).
